Am I supposed to care if they think I'm complicated?! Gosh, that must be my problem.

Everyone cares to some degree what people think of them.

If you disagree, that's called denial, and you're only fooling yourself. indifferent

I don't consider myself complicated, though others apparently do, and seem to have problems with it. That was more of what I was getting at.

I care enough, that on rare occasions, thinking about it might hurt, but I also don't care enough to give up what I find important that someone else has problems with.

humm is not everyone complicated? for no two people are alike. so complication sets in... that is what communication is used for.. complication is a sign of the unknown. that is why we have a brain to continue learning new things.

I have come across quite a few simple minded people in my life, (most of which couldn't tell their @$$ from their elbows.) so no - Everyone is not complicated. indifferent
or perhaps you shut down your mind to what "you" feel is simplicity.. the question now arises.. so does that make you complicated or simple to this person you shut down? complicated in their eyes because you shut down and they do not understand why, or simple minded because you do not look further?

These "simple minded" people I speak of appear to be self-absorbed. They lack the intelligence to make logical decisions. There's no need to "look futher" because there's nothing there.

I could compare it to the mentality of a four year old.

Are you trying to tell me four year olds are
complicated?

I wouldn't consider not looking futher an action of shutting down, but as my origial post suggests, why bother?

It would be a complete waste of time, wouldn't it?! indifferent

awww ok so you are talking intellect.. now for me the most simpleminded people would be most like me.. with equal intellect.. for those with more intellect are more of a challenge to learn.. and less intellect are more of a challenge to understand...

ill add this as well.. the most complicated to me.. is the person whom does not have the open mind to learn or understand another no matter what their intelligence level is.. for they will never move anywhere in life up or down..<mind wise> perhaps it is a fear of failure or acceptance of change..

This is semi-true. I mean I try to keep an open mind, but after experiencing the same behavioral implications of others again, and again. It sorta becomes pointless after a while.

Acceptance of change - maybe. I've been told I'd have better luck 'fitting in' if I dumbed it down a bit. Which of course means I'd have to change, but I see no benefit in doing so.

behavioral patterns have nothing to do with intelligence.. one can be smart as a whip the other not too smart intellectually and both have the same behavioral pattern..

i just wonder and no offense at all if this really has to do with your patience? and nothing at all to do with others... just a thought for you to think aboutflowerforyou

I don't think patience is at fault here. This has been going on for years, not overnight. I just think that once a person reaches the point of "enough is enough" they are automatically construed as an a**hole, and really I'm not, I just don't see the point in pretending to be something I'm not solely for the sake of others.

a perfect example as i have been reading to learn... a sociopath the majority of them that has been diagnosed have a very high iq. some have low iq. i do disagree with many thoughts they have just a few for example... no remorse for them hurting others, incapable of love, people are only targets not humans this is the reason they have no remorse for others. i can go on... will i ever agree with these thoughts? no! however by learning what a sociopath is and how they think i begin to understand them.. and learn myself and grow from it. for i have been the target before... in the end with a mind of a sociopath person there will never be a relationship with them.. for to them there are only targets in their lives. the relationships they have will only be targets and satisfaction of hitting their targets.. moving on and looking for new targets.. the more the merrier.. very manipulating people... and on the outside seem to be the sweetest person you could ever know till you read up on it and learn.. then you will see the flags!

ahhhhh well so you have lost your patience! for you have given up after yrs of something that has upset you... maybe they were a sociopath! perhaps you should go look at sociopathworld.com very interesting its a sociopath blog site im amazed on how they work! they give each other ideas on manipulation, finding new victims etc... they also answer questions to those that dont understand and they arent ashamed to give honest answers either... its pretty amazing like i said!

Complex, complicated, diverse....tongue2

monotonous, simplistic, rigid, predictable...yawn

one is interesting, fun, challenging, and a huge opportunity to grow, and appeals to energetic people..

one is predictable, consistent, and in my opinion dead f *ckin' boring...and appeals to lazy people...or those only capable of monosyllabic thought.
