I wonder how people would feel of OBAMA called the general sir,, and the general corrected him ,,,?


Obama is "higher ranking" than the general therefore he would address the general as general and not sir.
In the military you address your senior officers as sir and those who are lower rank than yours you address by rank.

So Obama would address him as general.


And you address Senators as Sir, Ma'am or Senator. All three are acceptable under the UCMJ.
