they can, and they could, and they do, but sometimes they don't. that about covers it.

Nah, "Most" of the time they dont but they can and some do but few can and still your left emotionaly distraught, and hes left strugleing to twist the door knob. Especialy after 5 years.

They can work BUT!!! There's need to be a plan !!! You guys need to talk about at one point meeting one another basically you need a goal to look foward to something that makes you feel that the dream is at hand you just have to work for it. If you don't have a goal the relationship will die out like a slow fire on a cold night...

do long distance relationship work

Yes.
Up until the moment you meet.
Sometimes after.

It all depends on the two people involved. I have a gf who has been married for over ten years and most of the time she only sees her husband for a week out of a month. I may have some trouble with it but if the love and trust is there between two people then the distance shouldn't really matter. Time spent together is always important but time apart is ok too. It helps to have some breathing space for both people. I've seen it work for some and I've seen it fail for others but anything is possible if two people want to make it work. The same thing can be said for friendships, it takes two to make them and it takes two to brake them.

Three years ago when we first met in person...

Last year at a good friend's wedding....

We are still 2,558 miles apart but I will post a new picture in two weeks when he gets here.

Yes a LDR is very hard, but for us is just an inconvenience because we have a strong trust in each other and a deep love for each other. Neither one of us would ever cheat, it just isn't part of our make-up, and there is so much communication between us that I would swear we talk more than people who live in the same house.

I attempted a long distance relationship. It failed. I will NEVER do it again. Too much stress.

It all depends on what one is willing to give in order for it to work out..... whoa

Myself I'm greedy I want someone that is within touching distance...... bigsmile

I have tried the LDR it worked for a little over a year.... he moved and did a 360 in personality ..............to me not enough one one one time to see the true person..... JMO....

I have known those that it did work for them and they are still together.... kuddos to them.....

For some people it works. For most, not so much. I've tried that a few times and have no plans on another! Especially the situations where you mean online and haven't meet face to face (yet). Too many of the times the other person isn't quite what they say/you think they are.

Depends on the distance and the amount of cash flow on hand to travel . In most cases it wouldn't. frustrated
