we do not worship a man... Jesus. We worship our father through Jesus. Through Jesus we are made pure. God turns away from sin, that is why we need Jesus to cleanse us of our sins and make us presentable to our father. Cowboy...explain how an omnipresent God that supposedly exist everywhere be able to turn away from sin ... Do you really not understand metaphorical speaking, or figuratively speaking, or are you just trying to cause trouble? metaphorically?...figuratively?.....everything but truthfully ..which would mean that you were lying about God turning away from sin and once again preaching false testimony ....which appears to be all you been doing here in Mingles2 |

Metaphorically and figuratively speaking isn't lying. It is explaining something in a perspective your listen(s) should be able to understand. Examples -------- It's raining cats and dogs It as hot as fire outside It's cold as ice That's as big as a mountain ect |

Metaphorically, your response was out in left field. It's cold as ice outside = It's pretty cold, probably should wear a jacket It's melting outside = It's pretty warm, probably should wear shorts It's raining cats and dogs = It's pouring rain outside, probably should wear a jacket So where is the lie funches? |
|
|
|
It's cold as ice outside = It's pretty cold, probably should wear a jacket try checking the temperture then it would be no need to lie... It's melting outside = It's pretty warm, probably should wear shorts did you see anything outside melting? ..if not then check the temperture then it would be no need to lie It's raining cats and dogs = It's pouring rain outside, probably should wear a jacket a jacket would not keep cats and dogs from falling on you...so check and see if it is raining cats and dogs if it's not then to say so would be a lie if you are going to preach the word then do so "truthfully" not metaphorically because you then turn the truth into a lie ..how is this in the grace of God? |

No resurrected is not a metaphor.. Jesus SPOKE in parables... metaphors. So how would him being resurrected be a metaphor for he did not tell of that, he lived it. And yes it's the truth. Metaphors, similes, parables, they are all truth. They to tell the truth in a way that one can understand and relate to. |

Cowboy...see how when it comes to Jesus dying on the cross and being resurrected you stop using metaphors and started using the truth and that my young disciple is why using metaphors is a lie ... |

No, I personally don't speak in parables. It was Jesus that spoke in parables, remember? And since Jesus was the one whom was crucified why would the telling of it happening have been in parables? For it was him who spoke in the parables, and since it was he whom was crucified, it would be a bit difficult for him to tell of himself being crucified. |

But his crucifixion could not have been him speaking for he was the one being crucified and not speaking of it. And i'm not preaching my friend, merely discussing. This is a discussion forum not a preaching tabloid. |
