Who can say it any better than this...pay attention to #13
Rules for Kickin' *** Rules for the Non-Military Dear Civilians, 'We know that the current state of affairs in our great nation has many civilians up in arms and excited to join the military. For those of you who can't join, you can still lend a hand. Here are a few of the areas where we would like your assistance: 1. The next time you see any adults talking (or wearing a hat)during the playing of the National Anthem - kick their ***. 2.. When you witness, firsthand, someone burning the American Flag in protest - kick their ***. 3. Regardless of the rank they held while they served, pay the highest amount of respect to all veterans. If you see anyone doing otherwise, quietly pull them aside and explain how these veterans fought for the very freedom they bask in every second. Enlighten them on the many sacrifices these veterans made to make this Nation great. Then hold them down while a disabled veteran kicks their ***. 4. If you were never in the military, DO NOT pretend that you were. Wearing battle dress uniforms (BDUs) or Jungle Fatigues, telling Others that you used to be 'Special Forces'. Collecting GI Joe memorabilia, might have been okay when you were seven years old, now, it will only make you look stupid and get your *** kicked. 5. Next time you come across an *Air Force* member, do not ask them, 'Do you fly a jet?' Not everyone in the Air Force is a pilot. Such ignorance deserves an ***-kicking (children are exempt). 6. If you witness someone calling the Coast Guard 'non-military', inform them of their mistake - and kick their ***. 7. Next time Old Glory (the US flag) prances by during a parade, get on your damn feet and pay homage to her by placing your hand over your heart. Quietly thank the military member or veteran lucky enough to be carrying her - of course, failure to do either of those could earn you a severe ***-kicking. 9. 'Your mama wears combat boots' never made sense to me - stop saying it! If she did, she would most likely be a vet and therefore would kick your ***! 10. 'Flyboy' (*Air Force*), 'Jarhead' (*Marines*), 'Grunt' (*Army*),'Squid' (*Navy*), 'Puddle Jumpers'(*Coast Guard*), etc., are terms of endearment we use describing each other. Unless you are a service member or vet, you have not earned the right to use them. Using them could get your *** kicked. 11. Last, but not least, whether or not you become a member of the military, support our troops and their families. Every Thanksgiving and religious holiday that you enjoy with family and friends, please remember that there are literally thousands of soldiers, sailors, marines and airmen far from home wishing they could be with their families. Thank God for our military and the sacrifices they make every day. Without them, our Country would get it's *** kicked. 12. It's the Veteran, not the reporter, who has given us the freedom of the press. It's the Veteran, not the poet, who has given us the freedom of speech. It's the Veteran, not the community organizer, who gives us the freedom to demonstrate. It's the Military who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who allows the protester to burn the flag. AND ONE MORE: 13. If you ever see anyone singing the national anthem in Spanish - KICK THEIR *** ONE LAST THING: If you got this email and didn't pass it on - guess what - you deserve to get your *** kicked! I sent this to you, Not because I didn't want to get my *** kicked BUT BECAUSE YOU ARE VERY, VERY SPECIAL TO ME AND I KNOW YOU WILL NOT BE OFFENDED AND ARE PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN AND WILL FORWARD THIS ALSO. THANK YOU. WE LIVE IN THE LAND OF THE FREE, ONLY BECAUSE OF THE BRAVE! IN GOD WE TRUST. |

I used to wear a Vietnam era Jungle Jacket. I actually wore it camping. I wore it to work too and one of the vets took offense sight unseen. What saved me was A: I never once pretended to be in the Military but I had friends who were in the military. it was how I got my jacket. B: My jacket has no emblems or markings of any kind. The guy I got it from had removed them and told me to not misrepresent. C: I also had a thing for surplus and wore combat boots for work (safety stuff, steel toe boots are a must in some places) since I could get them for cheaper than Red Wings. I never heard squat about me wearing my jungle jacket after that.
I had seen an incident where some "Hippy Type" had the 101st Airborne on his jacket but the peace sign and War is Wrong patch on his jacket set off some boys in uniform. They exchanged words and one of the soldiers removed his jacket and removed the Airborne patch from his jacket with a knife and handed him back his jacket. I told the guy he had it coming. He was one of those idiots who liked to bait wolves evidently. He risked a serious beating and all he got was a hole in his jacket. I thought he came out of it better than I would have expected. It blows me away how little respect is offered to the military that protects us and serves us in times of emergency. Even security guards are treated like crap here even though they do a job I personally resent doing. Being a guard is SUPER DUPER BORING! But they do a valuable job. People just suck! |

it would be nice if all honest careers received 'respect' i think the military deserves a little more... these vets and their dead buddies fought for your right to not care.... |

just be grateful that your military "serves" your country instead of helping itself to your country...

it would be nice if all honest careers received 'respect' i think the military deserves a little more... these vets and their dead buddies fought for your right to not care.... I think a job choice is a job choice and anyone doing their job with integrity deserves respect,, I dont think job choices automatically make someone respectworthy, but instead that people take the time to make SOME contribution to the community being a great person earns you my respect, not what your job title is,,, appreciation, is another matter, and I have told many a vet that I appreciate what they do I also appreciate my doctors, my childrens teachers, etc,,,,, |

I have done every end of private Security for Security Guard, Casino Security, Night Club Security, Event Security, Concert Security and worked my way up to plain clothes Loss Prevention, Investigations, Personal Protection Details and Force Protection. I hate the Security people who are the wanna be cops and dress like cops and act like them. Wear their Badges all the time, even carry them in their wallet. I fricking HATE that. First of all, I could have and still can be a cop but I choose not to. You can make more money in Security, especially personal security. Personally when I help run the Security for the Haunted House's here in Carson and frankly I do wear a duty belt, but you cant see it. I hate the fact im required to wear it so I wear an extra long **** or sweat shirt over it. Personally I have never needed a Gun or Tazer in over 12 years of doing this. The only things I have EVER used is my Handcuffs(on a daily basis doing LP and nightclub), pepper spray once and ASP as a deterrant. I will never respect the ones that give us a bad name that think they are cops or act like it and I refuse to have anyone on my team that is like that. |

Where did she say she didn't care? Being in the military is a choice. I support the soldiers and what they're doing for the country. However, I don't think that everyone automatically has to respect someone because they choose to be in the military. |
