i carry your heart with me
by e. e. cummings

i carry your heart with me (i carry it in
my heart) i am never without it (anywhere
i go you go, my dear; and whatever is done
by only me is your doing, my darling)
i fear
no fate (for you are my fate, my sweet) i want
no world (for beautiful you are my world, my true)
and it's you are whatever a moon has always meant
and whatever a sun will always sing is you

here is the deepest secret nobody knows
(here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud
and the sky of the sky of a tree called life; which grows
higher than soul can hope or mind can hide)
and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart

i carry your heart (i carry it in my heart)

Beauty and Love

Beauty and love are all my dream;
They change not with the changing day;
Love stays forever like a stream
That flows but never flows away;

And beauty is the bright sun-bow
That blossoms on the spray that showers
Where the loud water falls below,
Making a wind among the flowers.

Loving Sun
Just as the sun
warms the Earth
Love warms our lives.

Loving Spirits

Our spirits mingle in Love,
like the clear and swirling
waters of the mountain
stream.

True Love
True love is a sacred flame
that burns eternally,
And none can dime its special glow
or change its destiny.

True love speaks in tender tones
and hears with gentle ear.
True love gives with open heart
and true love conquers fear.

True love makes no harsh demands ----
it neither rules nor binds;
And true love holds with gentle hands
the hearts that it entwines

FOREVER

I am forever walking upon these shores
Betwixt the sand and the foam
The high tide will erase my foot-prints,
And the wind will blow away the foam.
But the sea and the shore will remain forever.

(Found on my bedstand)

Nuts... it drives me...

The ones that disappear
The ones still lurking here
The thought that this existance is just a passing shadow
and if we don't connect and share our piece of the puzzle
A greater gift could be lost
But then, maybe we know this in the back of our minds and we're afraid of the responsibility

Des voiles s'enfuyaient, au loin diminuées;
Que l'amère senteur des glauques goëmons;

From Les Contemplations (1856) Victor Hugo

"I picked this flower for you on the hilltop…"

I picked this flower for you on the hilltop.
In the steep scarp that overhangs the tide,
Which only eagles know and only they can reach,
Calmly she grew on the rock's creviced side.
Darkness was bathing all the slopes of the bleak promontory.
In the place where the sun was going down,
I could see— as a roseate triumphal
Arch is raised up in some victorious town—
The somber night erecting a portico of clouds.
Some miniature and distant sails sped by;
A few roofs, lit up in the bottom of a hollow,
Looked half afraid to glint and catch the eye.
I picked this flower there for you, my love—
Pale-colored, and the petals have no scent;
Her root could take in nothing, on those mountains,
Except the green weed's acrid effluent.
"Poor flower," I said, "from the height of this summit
You would have passed into that gaping pit
With the massed clouds, the sailing-ships and seaweed.
Die in a gulf even more infinite;
Fade on a heart in which a world is fluttering.
You were to drop your blossoms in the spray:
For Ocean heaven made you; but to Love I send you."
The wind mingled the swell; nothing of day
Was left beyond a vague gleam, slowly vanishing.
Sad indeed were my reveries, sad and stark,
While I stood dreaming there; the whole black chasm
Entered my soul with every chill of dark.

How Will You Kiss?

Lilt me your lips,
our lost breath intermingling.

Synchronize our silence
as lazy hours ease by.

Waft cocoa, hazelnut, cinnamon,
scents around me.

Tremble with me
in paralyzing pauses.

I may no longer breathe
without breathing you.

beautiful spanish translation of above posting

Como Besaras?

Enciendanme tus labios
Nuestros alientos perdidos entremezclandose

Sincroniza nuestro silencio
al perezoso pasar de las horas.

LLeva el aire aromas de cacao,
nuez, canela que me rodean

Tiembla conmigo
con pausas paralizantes

Quizá no pueda respirar más
sin respirarte a ti.
