I'm in Florida. Mutual match shows people in other states. Ex. Pa and other far away places.

I should have specified more. I'm talking about on the left side of my account when I click on "my account" link. Below my account info such as "viewed me" etc. It has a box of several profile pictures and the box in large letters says Mutual Matches.

Anyone can view profiles. The search features do not effect this. You can set limits on who contacts you, though.


As far as Mutual Match, those are generated from your search criteria, but others can view your profile and click match me, as well.

how do you get rid of a mutual match,, meaning how do you change it so the match is no longer showing

I have searched matches before and when I get back it still has the same number of mutual matches found on my account page,,,

I'm not searching anyone. It's already there. Even if my search criteria is involved mine says "within 25 miles of zip code xxxxx". I also have age ranges.

On your home page, there are 4 catagories next to your picture.

1. Mail - shows the amount of incoming mail sent to you
2. Mutual Match - are matches computer generated and/or a member clicks to match with you. The number shows how many new matches there are
3. Who viewed me - this number is the number of who viewed you, not who you viewed.
4. Nudges - this number show how many nudges where sent to you from other members.

These 4 items do not reflect your actions, but the actions of other member toward you.

The search criteria does not affect these items.

Hi, cattails. I think that some of the confusion is stemming from the fact that a user outside of your chosen range can click your 'Match with Her' button. Doing this adds that man to your Mutual Match pool. If you select No, of course, the man will not be added to the space in question. If you select Yes or Maybe, though, the person will be added as a Mutual Match.

Also, there is a bug when it comes to this space/box on one's 'My Account' page. When an account is deactivated or banned, it is removed from you page here. It is not, however, removed from the space/box in question.
