Anyone have any quick yummy breakfast ideas for kids?

My son likes to just eat peanut butter toast but I want a better variety
for him...but somedays I dont have time to make pancakes, bacon & the
whole nine yards

Any ideas?

Slice up some bananas in their cereal. They say they hate it but really
they like it and its good for them.

green eggs and ham but make sure you read the book to them first

protein builds strong muscles!

scrambled eggs take all of 30 seconds to make. go buy some cans of no
sodium spam and dice it up (also takes 30 secs.) throw it into scrambled
eggs. sprinkle some shredded chedder cheese on top. dairy and protein
and not much calories. serve with juice.

this entire breakfast will take u 5 mins to fix. plus its super cheap.

If he will eat it: Yogurt, fruit and granola. It's quick to make and
full of vitamins to prevent scurvey. Gharrrr!

He eats alot of yogurt, fruit & veggies

He needs more meat though

He doesnt like hamburger anymore and chicken isnt a big hit either

So he gets alot of eggs in stirfry and peanut butter snacks

TwilightsTwin,

Yogurt is a great source of protein. Some kids go through a phase when
they won't eat meat, some go through a phase when they won't eat
veggies, it's just a phase, so nothing to worry about. Beans and rice
has as much protein bite for bite as a steak and it's better for you.
Talk to your pediatrician, but I don't think an aversion to meat is a
big deal.

I know my son will never refuse a veggie, but meat...your right he goes
through phases. This month is Peanut butter city!

My son used to refuse just about any food except for bacon and ranch
dressing. We stopped keeping ranch dressing in the house, because he
would get the bottle and chug it. He still doesn't eat the way we want
him to, but he's healthy as an Ox.

but if i use one of those things he eats what ever i fix for him ..
maybe not all of it but enough of it to count for something..

I like to make my own Mc Muffins at home. I get sausage and use a burger
press, cook and drain them, store them for the week. In the mornings I
toast a muffin add cheese and mustard and I'm good to go. Of course you
can use any fillings and bread you want!

My son hates to eat breakfast so as an alternative I would make him
milkshakes.....but healthy.

Put some milk, banana, strawberries, icecream, raw egg in a blender and
voila!!!! Instant breakfast....you can also add some wheat germ if you
like.

i 2nd yogurt. mine love it. also fruit cups.
toast is a hit often....but what they really
love is when i make crepes. drives 'em nuts.

it is not extremely easy nor is it hard but
here is my technique:

2 eggs beaten, add 1/4 cup sugar, 1 cup milk
mix with wisk (this is the part they like to help)
add 1 cup flour and mix well

and here is a "trick" melt a Tbsp butter in
a small cup with a few drops of water in the
microwave 15 secs or so and stir in the batter

adjust milk/flour to get the right consistency
if necessary - should be very close

make crepes in large buttered skillet on med
heat and flip when edges start to brown, eat with
butter, sugar, berries, sliced fruit or plain

be prepared for many encores. this recipe feeds
4 of us but the kids are only 2 and 4 yo....

well my kids love hotdogs or salami
so sometimes for a breakfast treat
we give em

Nathan's dogs or some salami

lots of kids like summer sausage,
kielbasa, sweet italian sausages,
or especially maple/sweet links

some of them have decent soy varieties
but we let em have "breakfast meat"

yeah i know it's garbage....
we eat it anyway - yummy
