A very good Tuesday morning to you all. The day is fine, or for fishermen(&women) the day is clear & fishable. Yesterday, I bought an external expansion drive thingy. You will notice I'm right up with the terminologylaugh Anyway, it has 2 terrybite things& cost $200NZ. That's about US$145. was that a good price? I bought it on sale. Now all I have to do, is learn how to use it!bigsmile
I have no idea what that is!!laugh laugh

Ray still your birthday here so have another cold one!!!
Tiz just a tad early yet Jayne(10.20am) The thingy you don't know about is an extra slab of memory, and I'm told I won't fill it up in this life time, but the price seemed pretty good.
I don't know much about this stuff but it sounds great. I wish I could get one of those thingys for my brain. It sure would make my life easierlaugh laugh
It would mean plugging a IDE cable in to your brainlaugh

Your Daughter is installing this? I don't think my PC would know what to do with it.
I installed it, hell it wasn't that hard, 1xUSB, & 1x 3pin plug. With my luck, you won't know what a 3pin plug looks like, worse yet, we use 240 volts here & I think you have 110 volt! Either way the thingy wants 12 volts so has a transformer. Vanessa is coming over to show me how to drive the beast.laugh laugh

that has to suck!! What is your house build from? I don't know how they hold up even if it's a small quake I would think you would be getting cracks in the walls

The building codes here really are something else. Stuff I would have assumed OK, are bundled out without hesitation. I have no idea what my place would be called in the US, but I would be called trailer trash, I'm sure! My place is made of sheets of poly-styrene faced on both sides with alloy sheet.Walls & roof are all of the same material, pop riveted together. It was a contruction site portable office. Like I said, I'm prolly "trailer trash".

Yes, it has been hard in the CBD, small an all as it is.The museum has had to be demolished, around 6 small stores likewise, and about half of the towns only department store is on the back of a truck, or nearly so. Seems the remainder of it will be salvaged, repaired & re-opened. Aout 20 families have got homes that are a total loss. Most of them are less than 10 years old. They were in an area that was held out as a show-case, not so much now.
