Deb, she came home from the Hosp today That's a good thing, right? Getting rid of most of the largest tumor is a great start! Is she going to get chemo treatments or don't you know? There's a lady in my MS Support Group that had 2 brain tumors. She's fine now, has a few sons, goes camping, fishing, gardens & lives her life. |

A couple of quick questions Bill, in your profile pics, there is a tourer. (white top) It appears to have a Ford V8 dash, & with suicide front doors, my guess is a '34. Am I close? In another pic, there is a yellow drop-top, I have no idea what it might be though, so, What it is? The pic of the touring car was taken at the Auburn Cord museum in Auburn Indiana. It's in the old Auburn factory. I am pretty sure the car is an Auburn but to tell you the truth I don't remember. The yellow drop head is a Crosly. Taken at a sort of junk yard outdoor art gallery thing not far from here. The outer spacey looking things were also taken there. The pic doesn't show it but it was an old clown car. The red car is of course a Ferrari. I never even considered an Auburn, they are a rare beast in NZ, although I vaguely recall seeing one, a large sedan I think. I have never seen a "Crosly" and at a guess that one would be around the late 40's. The Ferrari was fairly obvious, although there are a number of fibre glass Ferrari rip-offs about. In passing, there are a few "Crossley's" here, but they are English & the company lost the battle with the stock market crash of '29, & the depression that followed. Late fortys to early sixties I believe. More of a novelty car not many of them around. I think it was based on an English design. Yeah the Auburns are real beauts. So is the museum. They even have a Deusenburg or two there plus some other rare marks. No they have a big selection of cars. Three floors full. It's mostly dedicated to Cord and Auburn but they have quite a collection of others as well. Even some old racing models. |

Strewth,I hope not Bill. I retired 3 years ago. Have been to a few sheep dog trials & they are quite good to watch, but I suspect my blood is getting thin, & its getting cold watching now. I often watch them on TV though, where it's warm and the beer isn't! What are sheep dog trials? Like hunting dog trials only for sheep dogs. They do a lot of them in Australia and New Zealand. It's really something to watch the dogs work the sheep. So, how do they do the hunting dog trials. They can't watch the dogs hunt can they? Bird dogs, pointers and retrievers. Mostly they use planted birds. |

BTW remember me telling you about gun shots in the park? well they caught him today Are they going to shoot him? That would seem to be poetic justice, and probably richly deserved. Did he hit anyone? |
