everyone here almost, has a profile pic. my question is do most people
judge who others are by it?
do some people simply avoid them because of a generalization based on
first glance?

I don't leave my pic up. Got too many emails I disliked from strangers.
I only upload it on occasion.

I like to see pics with profiles but it really doesnt matter to me
really.

I have seen people who will actually put in their profiles "Don't bother
to send me a message unless you have a pic on your profile." So some
people take that pretty seriously.

Other people don't really care.

Some people say they would prefer to see who they're dealing with. Even
that's not always going to work, because some people use phony pics --
most of the time, you would never know unless you met them in person (or
if they use a celebrity pic).

A lot of us have real pics on our profiles but rotate the main pic a
lot; I use real pics, llama pics, this mutated blue box here, sometimes
I have used a picture of Bob Saget or the Burger King guy. I just try
to have fun with it. If anyone is curious, there are real pics in the
profile.

i rotate as well... i use cartoon charactors, llamas... btw lex llary is
MINE!! HAHAHA.... the rose.... pix of me... depends on my mood.. and
depending on how many slime balls... i mean gentle men callers... i want
to grind up in emails... aka talk to... depends on what pict ill leave
up...

I don't usually even look at the profile till the person has posted
something that catches my attention.

Looks might fade over time. The way a person is you will have to live
with.

A pictures is just that.. a picture..I don't judge by ones picture , I
read the whole profile and watch their postings in the forums, only
then do I decide if they are a person I want to get to know.

Some people make a decision based on the first glance at a pic while
others might not hold that against you.

I think people post fake pics so someone can get to know you rather than
just based on looks.

i think i need to change mines... gettin too much attention

my personal opinion is regardless of the picture one may post
the true depiction of a person speaks from what they write and how they
respond.

Since I'm not looking for anyone...I may post one..right now I just use
this one. I would like to find one of a Knight being knighted by a
princess.

well ofcourse specially being online when u can't interact in a face to
face.
