Children abused, killed as witches in Nigeria

She had agreed to an interview but the meeting was continually postponed for two days.

But in her preaching at Liberty Gospel Church, she heralds success stories of how she has driven out demons through deliverance.

"Witches and wizards, they started getting afraid. I never gave them rest!" she shouted to a cheering congregation.

Some pastors believe education is a more powerful tool against witchcraft fears."

Foolishness to believe in possession, even more foolish to pay that kind of money. This is why education is so important. When people can read on their own, evaluate critically, think for themselves, decide for themselves, there is so much less of this insanity.

may the lord help us all, from what ive read in here we need it. #1 we all should care for one another.the bible says "to love one another" and that means everyone#2 it's not just pentecostal, u'll find that in every religion.#3if possession is not real then ur sayin the bible is a lie or better yet, jesus isnt the son of God.because he himself cast out demons.read ur bible people. and if that dont work for ya than ask God himself. As most people think witches are thought to be devil-worshippers and spell-casters and making potions, etc. Some might consider themselves that now, but the true "witch" worshipped the earth goddess and the "horned man". And what they did was paid homage to the earth. They give love back to the earth. They were far from a "devil worshipper" as we say today. It was Shakespeare's "Macbeth" that twisted the original definition for the sake of drama. There are DVD's in your local library called "A&E: Supernatural", not to be mistaken with the television series.

and there are books also on the subject.and no i didnt learn all this on a&e lol. i started out about 7yrs ago wanting to know if there was a God and if everything mama and the preacher man on tv said was true.i ask God to show me in a way that only i would know, not because ppl said so. and he did.ive studied just about every religion out there. i found that alot of religions were made up by ppl who disagreed with each other about what the bible meant but all were based on the God's word when it came down to it.im not pentecostal but thru my studies they came the closest to the bible.i hope this helps you and hope u look into urself and not take my word for it.study and pray and ask the lord to show u . as the bible says he is our teacher. so we should never take anyones word and put it in our pocket.good luck and God bless you.i added you to my prayer list, hope u dont mind.

In some Afro-Carribean religions...possession by spirits is practiced, what is described in the previous links is a different story.

That's not the flavor of today, Christians are standing idly by while a full assault on Islam is in progress. It's like the 60's again except blacks are not the main target anymore...well except for one...Obama, but then he's part of the demonization now that the RW Christians call him a Muslim too...well placed BS!

Sure a few rational Christians are speaking up but for the most part I see people who claim a moral authority leading the attacks. To them it's screw the US Constitution...they have a crusade to commit.
