Do you think they do more good than bad or vice versa? It dosen't matter what kind of lie it is, the intent, or how you try to put it, if it's not true, it's harmful. There are plenty of ways to tell the truth, there is no excuse to lie, no matter what. |

Lies are lies no matter what color or size. there's a BIG difference between telling someone ya like their dress- but you really don't Or Tellng someone their mom just died in a fire and she's burnt beyond recognition just for a laugh or some self gratification (such as a habitual or phys liar) BIG difference!! Jmo. Sure they are both lies but not nearly the same/for the same reason/the same outcome |

Sorry I'm with Gossipmpm on this one it all depends what some call a little white lie.
Being blunt is not always the way to go when it can spare ones feelings over something so irrelevant.

I agree i only lie to people when i want them to feel good about themselves. i don't like to hurt people's feelings unless they truly need it. or it will help them in some way.

If a person asked me something they will be expecting the truth about my opinion and thats what they will get. I won't be blunt about it but I won't lie about it either. To answer the more good then bad question. It really does depend, you could lose a friend over it if their sensitive and respected your opinion.
