in the shadows of the night...

Remembering your smile
In the rays of the light...

How your fingertips felt
against my skin...

Yes years ago..way back then

Fine porcelain teacups..
to me you'd bring..

Pick up your guitar...
A song you'd sing..

And touch my face..
In the light of the moon

As your arms held me tightly..
My heart would swoon

The velvet brown eyes..
That saw in me...

The value of love
It did not flee..

In one quick moment..
You were taken from me..

The whole world changed...
How could it be...

Loneliness escapes me...
With the thought of you

Leaves a smile in my heart..
that is oh so true..

For you may not exist...
In a physical way...

But you exist in my memory
In my heart every day...
