Nope. IPv6 is enabled by default in Ubuntu 10.04. Mainly for whatever security reasons Canonical decide to annoy people with next - silly choice if you ask me but that's Canonical for ya. :D
Yeah, I tried changing the WiFi channel, that's about all I can do with it and still no difference.

I guess IPv6 is enabled by default because it's the future and Ubuntu might as well be ready for it - just like both Windows and Mac OS are.

By the way, I'm currently using it and it's cool being able to access all my home computers from everywhere even if they're behind a router: with IPv4 it's much harder (and of course more secure, but when you *do* need remote access it's a major PITA).

Besides, 60 ms ping time doesn't seem that bad to me.

How can I connect my laptop to my 85 Nissan to run diagnostics?

^^^^ that's more automotive in nature ... there are plugs that are made to hook into ... and you need the diagnostic program as well ..^^^^

Okay .... here is my problem...

I turn on my HP laptop ... blank screen lights flicker the windows sound comes on ... I do my password .. my audio startup plays and windows loads ... screen still blank sometimes see a flicker.

after loading music ends ... I push off ... hear my ... turn off audio sound ... it shuts down ..

if I turn back on sometimes same thing
sometimes no sounds at all.

if I turn off then close lid ... wait a few seconds
open lid and turn on.

HP logo comes on and normal start up happens.
but not always
sometime goes blank but is back lit
sometimes goes into repair mode
sometimes has real strange screen.

also when it goes into hibernate or a long sleep It won't turn the screen back on ...

I've run malewarebites and avast and done registry cleans and even done multiple restores ...

its like the startup is getting hung up at varying points.

It was forcing me into multiple monitor state for a time until the last restore / repair I did last week.

Can't find a worm or virus or maleware of any kind ... so far.
