I don't know about the "plantation" hoey but I do know that the white dominance is still happening in our society today.

Actually it goes even further than that here.

This country actually had laws on the books that justified white supremacy. Generations of whites have grown up in household that have held to this philosophy without even knowing what they were doing in some cases.

So it is deeper than a group mentality.

The racists do not want people to realize they do this so they try to discount the idea of white prejudice with "race card' garbage and by portraying minorities in a bad light every chance they get.

someone has to SHOW a profit before anyone knows they are a profit,, the issue has become one of opportunities to show that one can be an asset,, if the chance is obstructed to even show ones skills, how can they benefit from a 'profit' based mentality?

I must disagree with you again. All whites are not racist as you claim. Some are brought up to hate and others are driven to it by negative images or actions with one.

I think your past instances with minorities being abused has blinded you with hate for anyone with white skin.

It would be silly to refute it happens, IM sure it does, but I would suggest that history and documented evidence suggests that WHITE MALES participating in racial discrimination against WHITE MALES is not the norm and about as rare as a black serial killer in comparison

No.. that is totally false. In any company of any size management does not want to make waves. Taking a chance on a discrimination lawsuit from a white male compared to all others is way more unlikely to ever happen.

I got out of the service mainly because of training a minority that could not grasp the job at all took 4 hrs to do what i could do in 15 minutes yet when their Below the Zone time came to let someone advance to the next rank before normal time Me the trainer was not in the running and the trainee i was training got to go and became my boss or a rank higher than me for no other reason than being a minority and I was even told by my white bosses its just the way it is.

and Black people committ alot of murders in this country i do believe.. i do not understand a serial killer comparison at all. white males do not go around complaining everytime they do not get what they want

I stated that I wouldnt refute it happens, and your white bosses were obviously full of **** , excuse the expression, (if they as white men were able to attain position as your BOSS and they didnt have a minority male ahead of them, than that obviously was not JUST HOW IT WAS and they were just blowing you off with the easiest excuse they figured you would accept)

I dont know the whole story but if that was it there should have been someplace else you could have taken it , and it was just as likely that those bosses just didnt like you for whatever reason than it is they skipped over you DUE to you being a white male

as to the serial killer, the majority are white males, but black males also are serial killers

that was the comparison I was making between white males racially discriminating against minorities( the majority of instances) and white males racially discriminating against white males

and in the service i even got an accomindation for my work and they tried to appease me to stay in but i had enougth i was not going through a service career with that stuff going on.

I believe if i remember right that one of the last supreme court nominees/appointees had ruled that like 20 or 30 more qualified firemen in New York were passed over for a minority and she ruled against them when they complained it was not right

I am not one who believes all of anyone are anything. Most people I know are decent, irrespective of race or gender

someone has to be blind to ignore the very real discrimination that occurs by the majority in power to keep the power, the real discrimination that occurs by the majority of the population to remain the majority, the very real discrimination that christians have the power to practice against non christians, the very real discrimination that white males in power have to practice against minorities, the very real discrimination that americans have the power to practice against immigrants


there is power in numbers: that and american history suggest that that power has by and large gone to white males,,, this doesnt mean all white males have power, but it certainly does follow that it gives non white males a certain disadvantage


as far as the firefighter case, it was ricci vs destafano,,,and the case was brought because a test was thrown out by the city of new haven, a test which white firefighters had done well on and not black firefighters

the city threw the test out because it wasnt a valid indicator of ability, the city turned the decision first over to a civil service review board(where the only african american on the board recused himself to avoid claims of preference or disparity), then the board had five days of hearings with testimony from both sides of the issue,, the city had to prove a strong basis for believing the tests invalid, and they presented adequate testimony to that affect

so it was not unreasonable for any of the judges to have ruled in favor of their decision,,,,

You proved my point. a test that they all knew they had to take. Was apperently on the books for a while a minority had to complain for any action to take place and won.

Yet reverse this and the african american scored the highest. just what do you think the outcome would of been if a White firefighter would of complained he was discriminated against?

They would of laughed in his face and noone would of ever of heard of even the testing or the complaint.

That is the real discrimination that goes on in the work place.

We do not change the rules for what fits us best. But the reality is this is what happens because it is not Politically correct for the ones in power these days and for quite some time to want to look like someone who discriminates. It's a quick way to ruin your career.

not sound legal logic since the case was won because it violated Title Vii of the civil rights act(Under the law, policies that have a disparate racial impact are prohibited, unless those policies can be deemed directly related to job performance),

which is ironically the problem the city was trying to avoid by throwing the test out,because they felt the test might not be defensible on those grounds,

I think anyone could have won this case with the right representation,, but thats just my opinion
