He'l get hot about the "accidental" injustice done to one black dude but, he could care less about purposeful (ILLEGALS) injustice to the rest of the nation.

Makin' a big deal about him being a scholar. BFD. He's no different than any of the rest of us. Puts his pants on, one leg at a time.

Hey Hussein! How's about concernin' yerself with the rest of us??slaphead

Black scholar arrest angers Obama
Henry Louis Gates
Prof Henry Louis Gates is a prominent Harvard scholar

The US president has said police acted "stupidly" when they arrested a black Harvard scholar outside his own home.

Prof Henry Louis Gates was held last week in Cambridge, Massachusetts, home to the top university where he teaches.

Barack Obama said the US had a long history of African-Americans being disproportionately stopped by police.

Officers were called to Prof Gates's house after a woman reported seeing two black males - the professor and his driver - trying to force entry.

Although the exact facts of the incident are disputed, Prof Gates was asked to provide the officer with identification. He was then asked to step outside his house and was arrested.

Mr Obama said: "I think it's fair to say, number one, any of us would be pretty angry.

"Number two... the Cambridge police acted stupidly in arresting somebody when there was already proof that they were in their own home."

President Obama: "The Cambridge police acted stupidly in arresting somebody when there was already proof that they were in their own home"

An initial disorderly conduct charge was dropped and Cambridge police called the arrest "regrettable and unfortunate".

'Rogue policeman'

Mr Obama said federal officials should work with local police to "improve policing techniques so that we're eliminating potential bias".

He said that when he was in the Illinois state legislature, he had worked towards a racial profiling bill because there was indisputable evidence that African-Americans and Hispanics were being stopped disproportionately.<<<So, it seems Hussein is operating on impulse rather than Law.

"And that is a sign, an example of how race remains a factor in the society," he said.

Prof Gates has said he was "outraged" by the arrest and called the officer, Sgt James Crowley, a "rogue policeman". Sgt Crowley has refused to apologize.drinker drinker

During the confrontation between the two men, the 58-year-old professor reportedly said: "This is what happens to black men in America."

His lawyer said Prof Gates had just returned from a trip overseas and, upon arriving at the property with a driver, found his front door jammed and had to force it open.

By the time police arrived at the house, he and the driver had managed to get inside the property.

According to police, Prof Gates shouted at the officer and accused him of racial bias. Was Gates drunk and belligerent???

if it was me trying to "jimmy" a door open, i'm sure the police would have a million questions to ask. if i'm polite about it, they do their job and thats that. but if i tell them to f&*k off, what do you think they are gunna do?

cops are human too, they can make errors too

is it not a law to comply with police? right or wrong, you need to do what they tell you to do. arguing and cussing them does no good what so ever. and he did force entry, they had a right to "inquire"
about who he was. here in houston about a month ago, a black city councilman was speeding down a highway service road. when the cop tried to pull him over, he speed for about 8 more blocks, then pulled into someones driveway. then he gets out and yells at the white cop, and was arrested. what do you think happened next?
they had it all on tape, and the cop was in the right, and even the judge said the cop did no wrong, despite all the activists that got involved with it.

Gates is damned lucky the officer didn't go all 'Rodney King' on his asss ... too bad, too ... his behavior was pretty close to ol' Rodney's being 'out of control' ... should Tazed his asss ... baton work woulda just been an 'extra' - kinda like 'super-size'-in' it ...
The rule most people seem to 'forget' is that y' NEVER argue with the man on the scene with the gun ...

noone will convince me that a man with his own luggage in his own living room with id that pictures him and that address does not have the right to be upset with an officer harassing him about his id

and as far as doing what they tell you, if they are wrong, they are wrong,,,,an officer stopped my brother on the street and asked him to sit in the car and my brother told him no,,,,there is nothing the officer could do because his attempt to intimidate with authority he did not have didnt work,,,,my brother sat on the curb, which he fortunately knew as his right, and the officer checked his id and went on his way(my brother is retired military and a doctor)

wrong is wrong all day long rather it is a cop or a civilian. often times the sneaky or clever cops will try to convince you you have to do things that you dont,,,, its best to know your rights and use them EVEN in dealing with a crooked or self impressed cop
