We Shall Be Free
Garth Brooks When the last child cries for a crust of bread, When the last man dies for just words that he said, When there's shelter over the poorest head, We shall be free, When the last thing we notice is the color of skin, And the first thing we look for is the beauty within, When the skies and the oceans are clean again, Then we shall be free, We shall be free, We shall be free, So stand straight, Walk proud, 'Cause we shall be free, When we're free to love anyone we choose, When this worlds big enough for all different views, When we're all free to worship from our own kind of pew, Then we shall be free, We shall be free, We shall be free, Have a little faith, Hold out, 'Cause we shall be free, And when money talks for the very last time, And nobody walks a step behind, When there's only one race and that's mankind, Then we shall be free, We shall be free, Listen to what I'm saying to you, We shall be free, Cause every night and day I pray it's true, Together, Forever, We shall be free, We shall be free, We shall be free, Stand straight, Have a little faith, Walk proud, Hold out, We shall be free, Listen to what I'm sayin' to you, We shall be free, Every night and day I pray it's true, Together, Forever, We shall be free, |

It is my greatest endeavour ... Have only had glipmses and fumes ... Still ... It is not so much the destination as the journey there ... Death could turn out the ultimate freedom, whatta price ... You? ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P2wRlXAsy-Y I played the Red River Valley. He'd sit in the kitchen and cry. Run his fingers through seventy years of livin'. "I wonder, Lord, has every well I've drilled gone dry?". We were friends, me and this old man, Like desperados waitin' for a train. Desperados waitin' for a train. Well, he's a drifter an' a driller of oil wells. And an old school man of the world. He taught me how to drive his car when he w's too drunk to. Oh, and he'd wink and give me money for the girls. An' our lives were like, some old Western movie, Like desperados waitin' for a train. Like desperados waitin' for a train. An' from the time that I could walk, he'd take me with him, To a bar called the Green Frog Cafe. An' there was old men with beer guts and dominos. Oh, an they're lying 'bout their lives while they played. An' I was just a kid, that they all called his sidekick, Like desperados waitin' for a train. Like desperados waitin' for a train. One day I looked up and he's pushin' eighty. An' he's brown tobacco stains all down his chin. Well, to me he's one of the heroes of this country, So why's he all dressed up like them old men? He's drinkin' beer and playin' Moon and Forty-two. Like a desperado waitin' for a train. Like a desperado waitin' for a train. An' then the day before he died, I went to see him, I was grown and he was almost gone. So we just closed our eyes and dreamed us up a kitchen, And sang another verse to that old song. Come on, Jack, that son-of-a-***** is comin'. We're like desperados waitin' for a train Like desperados waitin' for a train. Like desperados waitin' for a train. Like desperados waitin' for a train. |

The best way to live. I listen to this song when I need an upper. It reminds me that even though I maybe going through a rough patch in my life, there are people worse off then me that need help more then I do. Gets me to think on how I can make this world that I live in a better place. So when I am down on myself I will listen to this song, and go out and help somebody less fortunate then myself. Because I feel if EVERYBODY did that, then yes 'We Shall Be Free'. |

So why do they say we live in a "free" country when in reality absolutely nothing is free in America? Do they say that just because we do whatever we want to? when we actually don't do whatever we want to because of the so many laws. I'll tell you what country is free Amsterdam after sun down =)
