Topic: Hypothetical Situation | |
---|---|
You are at a job and your shift is almost over. You look on the schedule roster and find out that your replacement is your ex. You remember the night before the ex and you were in an argument. The argument is still unresolved. Then you get a phone call where you find that your replacement has called in sick and can not come in. Would you think that your ex is really sick or not? Would you think that your ex still has feelings for you and that it is just a way to get back at you? If you were the ex instead of calling in and you were still upset with your ex would you come in to relieve your ex so that they could go home or would you see if someone else could take your place so that you wouldn't have to deal with them? Or would you come into work and confront them there?

I would just do my job and not get caught up in such petty things.

That is what I would do. ![]() Well, if I know you any, you'd do this, as well as think of a number of other scenarios while you do your job. Thinking is fun, I like to do it too, and I don't care what the non-thinkers think. (What do you do? I'm really curious, not just a polite inquiry.) |

It didn't happened to me. But I am privy to watching it happen. Personally, I think she is getting him where he is most vulnerable because of workaholism. He is befuddled. ![]() ![]() |

That's extremely specific for a "hypothetical" situation.
