Tough times you're going through. I would say though, that if you can't attend without crying or being overly emotional, I just wouldn't go at all. It's you're cousin's day and it's going to be stressful enough for her. I would actually say, that since your niece is the reason it's uncomfortable, that she shouldn't attend. Stay away from the booze. Everyone gets more emotional and sensitive when they're drunk.

Go get it girl ... Walk tall Support network idea is awesome, btw. Stick to the people who know your pain. They will be proactive on your behalf. And be careful not to get too liquored up!! That is always a recipe for disaster with emotion. I support you my friend'ette. Come back and tell us how you coped so we can all learn from your experience. And, btw, these people sound like lovely human beings WTF kinda' nonsense is that?

You said you're lookin good, right?... Rock that! Be confident, put your shoulders back and your head up, smile! Don't even waste your time talking to them or about them at all. Everyone will see how great you are doing and think wow, she came out of this better then they did. It really can be enlightening to be the mature adult sometimes. Ditto, keep them wondering don't let them see anything but a smile on your face and laughter from your voice...........

This is such a great opportunity for a head fake ... Walk up to him (don't wait for him to walk up to you - go on offense), give him a big hug and smile, say 'It's so nice to see you!', tell her hello and say what a cute couple they are, and walk away. It'll confuse the hell out of 'em and you'll come off as a class act.

Best possible news I could report, they didn't show up at all! At least they seem to have figured out they should be ashamed. I had a great day and danced all night, with my siblings and cousins. No single men even close to my age. At least there was no drama or any awkwardness! BTW My cousin's new bride was absolutely beautiful and sweet as can be
