I agree with his position.
McCain hasn't done much more than flap his jaws on any situation.

I know the following statement comes across as campaign BS.
Check out his history on important issues before you vote.

J.D. Hayworth Statement on Federal Injunction Against SB1070

By J.D. Hayworth

Phoenix, AZ (JULY 2Cool - Statement from U.S. Senate Candidate J.D. Hayworth (R-AZ) regarding judicial ruling:

"Judge Bolton has gutted the Arizona law. She has put a hold on major sections of SB 1070 designed to eradicate sanctuary cities and require law enforcement officers to determine the immigration status of those who commit crimes in our state.

"The vast majority of Americans and Arizonans want this law implemented and the judge's action simply circumvents the people's will.

"Laws are made by citizens who are elected to serve in state legislatures and the U.S. Congress, and should not be made by federal judges who are appointed. In order to succeed in the battle over illegal aliens, Arizona needs a United States Senator who will fight amnesty and work at the national level for strict anti-illegal alien laws. They are not getting that from Sen. John McCain and he must be replaced in the Republican Primary on Aug. 24."

I have always loved McCain. Unfortunatly his position on illegal immigration sucks the big one but other then that I like the guy a lot.

Hayworth is a creep. He ran the ethical line on his wife's bookkeeping incident and the Indian Casino deal. Not to mention his very close ties to Jack Abramoff.

Arizona can simply tell the Federal judge to go blow themselves too. It is within their rights under the terms of State Sovereignty. They are well within their rights to enforce their laws. What is Obama going to do? Roll troops on the State of Arizona? That would be an act of war on our own. Arizona has every right to mandate procedure as long as it follows ethical guidelines and if there is a reason to believe there is an issue to check immigration of criminals what right has the fed to tell them no? NONE! Obama is just blowing smoke up everyone's azzes.

How much civil unrest do you think rolling tanks on Arizona would cause nation wide? I would be pissed off if our military consented to partake in anything like that! Obama has to piss or get off the pot and so far he hasn't even hit it at all yet. I think he likes giving America a golden shower!

McLame is useless. The only reason he's even attempting to sound like a conservative now is the same reason Harry Reid is trying to bump up his numbers: He's scared schitless he's gonna be history in November - and with luck, he WILL be. A LOT of 'em - RINOs in particular - need to be gone. I didn't like McLame in the '08 election, and nothing's changed since then. We need to clean house and - dare I say it? - have an 'ideological litmus test' for the people who replace the ones we remove. Like Barry Goldwater said: "Extremism in defense of liberty is no vice, and moderation in the pursuit of justice is no virtue."

Hussein and Judge Bolton just sided with illegal aliens against the American public.

The will of the American public has been usurped.

A President is required by the US Constitution to protect all states from invasion, while assuring states a Republic form of governance.

With this court case he has deprived Americans of both!

It is a sad day in America, when part of our own government has turned against the American public on behalf of invaders.

I hardly see it as this clear cut. People, in my opinion, are reacting impulsively and emotionally instead of logically. I understand the frustration with illegal immigration and the NEED for something to be done, I dont think that disagreeing with this bill is the equivalent of teaming with illegal immigrants,,,

there is a much broader picture of profiling and its effects to consider and whether the harm will outweigh the good

even the police have questioned the effect of scaring people into thinking they will or can have their status checked at the drop of a dime and with no clear indication as what cause is required to justify such a demand

police themself are opposed to the implications of this type of bill and I doubt they are big FANS of illegal immigration, but as I said, there is a larger affect such action would have on the communities

WOW!, and what does race have to do with this one?

my point was there are people opposed to and in support of the bill, and I dont think that either side is less concerned about the problem of immigration than the other, they just have different ideas of how to ADDRESS it,,

the link I gave was to an organization of police chiefs who are opposed to the bill and many give reasons that arent so terribly illogical in my opinion,, and certainly arent as much about pro illegal as they are about pro community,,,

I dont see it as siding with illegals,, anymore than it would be siding with white males if I opposed a bill giving police authority to stop males they have 'reason' to suspect as pedophiles with children and ask for proof of their guardianship,,Im guessing the primary target for such a 'reasonable' suspicion would be white males, and I suspect LAW ABIDING white males, after being seen as 'suspect' enough times would grow a bit imbittered and untrusting of police.

I would oppose such a bill on the same grounds.

its an OVERSTATED Measure that does more harm than good and further fans the flames of fear and paranoia in this country

I can see Obama's approval rating droping 5% because of this fiasco.I have said it before illegals and minorites don't give a crap about this country. They don't care about who we are and what we believe. All they care about is how they can advance their own race and own policies illegal or not. They are the ones who think they are superior and above the law.

Maybe the white Americans need to start breaking windows, starting riots, calling all the hispanics racists, sueing the Government, and making a big fit like the minorities always do when their causes are not won in the court room.

I also don't believe even if this bill passed it would have made a bit of difference.ICE is still run by the Federal government.Arizona could have arrested all those illegals and handed them over to ICE and I will bet that Obama would tell ICE to just drive around the corner and let all the illegals out of the van.

The blood of innocent people murded by illegals coming from Arizona is on Obamas hands now.At the rate these Democrats are going the Republicans will not even have to run commercials on the televisions to have a landslide win in Nov.

Oblowme is intentionally disregarding the laws and purposely keeping them from being enforced.

He swore under oath to protect and uphold the laws of the United States....and he's doing the exact opposite, like always...he says one thing, then does another.

If anyone is pounding the race issue into this, its Oblowme and his administration. Otherwise, the law says nothing about doing these searches based on race.

No matter if you like him or not, Senator McCain has done and sacraficed a lot for this country. Sure he has made some mistakes, but who in office right now hasn't?

I think the two cleanest Rep's we have in office right now are Dean Heller(he's actually my neighbor) and Michele Bachmann(shes cougariffic).

oh, and post jim crow signs that read 'we have the right to refuse service' didnt specifically mention race either,, but I wonder who were the ones who ended up being refused in most of those cases?

lol, the most racist statements I see in these threads are NOT from Obama supporters

from a fellow mingler
'Maybe the white Americans need to start breaking windows, starting riots, calling all the hispanics racists, sueing the Government, and making a big fit like the minorities always do when their causes are not won in the court room.'

LETS SEE,, perhaps that very REAL and all too prevalent type of attitude should be IGNORED while we pretend its all right if its all,,,,,,and if it runs over others, they should just be happy about it and continue to smile over how great it is for someone else of the right persuasion,,,the persuasion that should truly matter,,,

shame on a President for acknowledging the racial ignorance that exists or the need for it to be confronted and addressed,,,shame on him,,,laugh
