AB my brother they made me the same question when i was a senior in high
school in a class called logic and ethics.
As far as the teacher taught us the answer would be A good intention
does not justify a bad action.

So then Pontas Pilat should not have allowed Jesus to be put on the
cross?

"where the hell do u live that vampires are a cocern? lol "

They aren't a problem and I like to believe that I have contributed to
that fact.

Geez Pepper, I honestly don't know. I've grabbed a Doberman Pincher by
its throat and started squeezing when it went after my 2 year-old
daughter. There wasn't a whole lot of time to think about it. Luckily
the owner got a hold of the dog, so we were able to end that show down
quite peaceably. She was defending her turf and I was defending my kid,
neither one of us held a grudge about it.

id kill to save those who could not defend themselves, kill those trying
to kill my friends family and of course myself.

would i die for another living thing? only a human, and there better be
a damned good reason.

>> What if you knew that by killing one perticular person you would save the entire human race? Would you commit murder then?

I took 'save the entire human race' to mean 'from physical death', from
extinction - and if there was truly, absolutely no other route possible,
then I like to think I would then kill the person. I don't know
whether it 'ethical' to do so, it would simply be necessary.

Interesting point about Pilate.

"At the moment, I can think of nothing for which I would consciously,
pre-meditatively murder another human being... for every scenario I can
think of that involves pre-meditation, there is also a better route than
murder.

Non-premeditated circumstances are different"

This sums it up completley for me. I would not go out and look to kill
someone for any reason (and yes I have been tested on this when my wife
was raped). However, let me walk inon something where killing you is
the only way to prevent a worse scenario, such as loss of life or limb
to another? Or their mental health failing? or somehow find myself
somewhere where a person is about to unleash some chemical agent that
would not kill you but mutate your cells to where you are unrecognizabel
as a human? Hell yes I would kill that person in a heart beat, without
even batting an eye. It is notmurder at this point, it is defense.

And to answer another question: would I kill someone in cold blooded
murder if I knew it would save the human race? In other words if I coud
go back in time and kill adolph hitler prior to world war, would I do
so? No I would not. I am sorry, I would do everythign I could to
prevent the destruction of the human race or the massess, but I would
NOT just murder out of cold blood. Now if I could find myself in a
situation where I could kill him as he was about to kill someone else?
Yes I would do so in a aheartbeat.

I know this can be a bit confusing, lol but there it is.

Onthe other hand if the human race would behave the way God intended
there would not be any reason to kill. Alot of the time God gets a bum
rap being blamed for the way things are when in fact its not His fault
at all.

Peppers, I'm really -not- trying to give you a hard time.... but I
thought you asked us when we'd be willing to kill another human
being...I guess we have to take a look at what makes a murder a murder,
and not a 'killing'.

I think its a great thread, Peppers!

I've very much enjoyed hearing everyone's thoughts on this topic. And I
like the question AB posed - I don't know if its in-line with how you
meant the thread, but its definitely in line with how I understood it,
after you cleared up some things.

I agree Pepper, good thread. AB's question - do I get specific
instructions on how to and time to practice said execution techniques?
If not, get a more qualified person for the gig. Nope, get somebody
else period - too much pressure, I'll screw it up.
