Topic: Floyd Mayweather is such a pu$$y... | |
---|---|
I've been a boxing fan since I was in the womb, but there hasn't been a match worth watching let alone paying $49.95 for since...
Well, since... Well, I can't remember the last time there was a fight worth watching... Which brings me to the "super fight" between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. tentatively scheduled for November in Dallas. Mayweather said he wouldn't fight Pacquiao unless Manny submitted his blood for drug testing. Pacquiao agreed. Mayweather would have made nearly $50 million. And Mayweather has let the deadline for accepting the match pass. The fight will not happen... I finally give up. All you MMA'ers win. Boxing is dead. Because one of the two best boxers alive is a huge pu$$y!! |

Ohhh, I long for the days when Roy Jones, Jr., Sugar Shane Mosely, Bernard Hopkins, et al, were great. Ah,,,,memories

That's because Pacquiao will send him home with sores and bruised pride and he knows it. This is where the WBA, WBO or whoever sanctioned this fight needs to step in and make Mayweather fight him. |

easy there _fire...
it's not so much that he is a *****, he does not need the money, he has plenty of that now, he is fighting to secure his legacy. for some time now he has fought guys (good fighters) on their way down. (safe fights, mostly) Pacquiao is the one guy who can ruin that legacy. i would love to see the fight too, but i just don't think it will happen. it would be the biggest money fight of all time, however if you look at it from his point of view, he has more to lose than to gain from this mach-up. |

Mayweather refused to fight Manny Pacqiao because of the simple reason that he knows Manny Pacquiao will win against him and that he is afraid that his legacy as one of the best fighter in boxing competition will be turnover to Manny Pacquiao. Pacman is now busy with his career as congressman in General Santos city and will never turndown the fight against Mayweather if only Mayweather's camp decide to agree to fight with him.

Mayweather's fighting style is actually similar to some of the MMA guys out there right now. Avoidance. Mostly dance around the ring and get in enough hits to call it a fight when what he's really doing is avoiding the fight all together. I don't have anything against boxing per say but when they go all 12 rounds and both look only ever so slightly fatigued, that's not a real fight.

That's why I called him a pu$$y. The thing about Pacquiao is he gets hit alot by constantly being on the offensive. If Mayweather fought the defensive fight he always does, he very well could "out box" Pacquiao in a completely boring fight that is typical of modern boxing (and MMA as Myka pointed out). But Floyd just wants to fight people he knows he can beat. If I just played children in one-on-one basketball games, and went undefeated, I wouldn't call myself a champion. |

well if boxing is dead, it's because of tyson and don king...tyson was /is an idiot, and don king because he scammed everyone. I couldn't agree with you more about Don King... I hate Don King. My uncle was a 5 time world champion boxer (Johnny Tapia, was 48-0, before his first loss), who got screwed out of millions by Don King after leaving him as promoter. But Johnny is good friends with Mike Tyson, so I'm not allowed to say anything bad about him. Truth be told, Johnny and Mike are both crazy, that's why they get along... And yep, Pacquiao moved onto Antonio "fists of plaster" Margarito. The Mayweather/Pacquiao fight is deader than disco. |

The fight will probably be in Mexico because he can't get sanctioned here. At least he shouldn't get sanctioned here, but money talks, so it might wind up here... |

Even though Margarito is a cheater, Pacquiao still hits harder. That guy can friggin swing sledge hammers. |

He had some Pacquiao in him, always going all out. He fought some battles against Pauly Ayala and Danny Romero in the late '90s. How I miss those days... |
