Topic: Where Do You Get Your Inspiration From?

I love life and in my darkest times, when I was not sure I was going to get out of the situation I was in, I sucked it up and never gave up, ever, never, never give up. You fight the fight as hard as you think you can, then you dig deeper and fight some more. Then when all seems lost, you just never stop and someday through all that pain, comes the healing to the issue.

The challenges that we must go through to live a happy life are always worth fighting for. I realize that there are some things out of our control, but those would have happened anyway. But if you have even the smalllest bit of control, hold on to that and keep on going

I don't get to ignore life around me. I have two VERY insistent 65lb dogs who will trample me in my bed and drive me out of it. My inspiration is my animals, being outside, music, meditation. I push through and fake it till something internally shifts, and I'm not really faking it anymore.
Amen to our animals they are so loving and devoted!!flowerforyou

These past few weeks has been really hard for me. You know the kind where you feel like you're drowning in deep water, and no matter how much you kick and struggle, it just keeps pulling you back down. You don't want to give up, but it seems that whatever you do, you just keep sinking.

In such seemingly hopeless times, what do you tell yourself to make you keep going? Where do you get inspiration from?

from my faith , my ancestors and my immediate family, knowing Gods forgiveness and unlimited power, knowing my loved ones and ancestors have overcome obstacles and persevered through overwhelming odds and situations,,,

I know , as you said, that this too will pass and that I am a perfect creation from God and from a bloodline which perseveres and survives,,

I have not had a good last couple of years but I do have one thing I say to put things in perspective, and I am not being a smart-Azz here but I remind myself that I am a adult, white, heterosexual male living in North America...how bad can it possibly be compared to some demographics. Yes, that does help a little. I am also a writer so when I am really down and out I just write something for me and me alone.

good point, there is the fact that there are always those worse off than us that can sometimes help us remain appreciative of what we DO have

I dive, dive, dive deep w/in to the quiet voice that 'knows ALL' ...

Wisdom's Channel - "The Akashic record" for want of what language cannot describe w/ mere words...

Tools implemented towards the dive???

I'm the textbook definition of "Processor" ... I incorporate so much, including:

Tears

Frustration

Analysis

Quiet contemplation

Nature

Prayer and Meditation

DreamWork

LONG walks

Wise confidants inputs - Talk Therapy

Aroma Oils/Gem Remedy/Flower Essence Therapy

Alotta water therapy, most often the bath - incorporating Aromatherapy

Music that as if speaks to the heart and spirit of the issue

Art work, both mine and others

LAUGHTER and LOVE!

TIME ... Letting go ...

Dive, dive, dive - flowerforyou - Go DEEP!!!

My life is not my own. It would be selfish to think so. It belongs to all who come in contact with me. the poor, the hungry, those who need a helping hand. As well as those who just need a friend. I don't look for inspiration to keep me going. I just keep going it's my job. If some little child wants to live so bad, but they are dying in the hospital. Who am I to look at my life and complain in the least. As one of the greatest minds of our time once said.

"The needs of the many. Out weigh the needs of the one"

Just knowing that life is not fair, and that many people on this planet have to struggle/suffer helps me through rough times. Positive thoughts, exercise, helping (and communicating with) family/friends. Stay busy with things that interest you. Appreciate life, our time here on earth is so short.

this is really well said valentina

thing that bothers me sometimes though is that some people seem to get more than their share of troubles - even when there is no bad karma - doesn't make sense.......
