As of late I have had the opportunies to have serious relationships with only glass castles. Let me spell out the differences Glass castles are brilliant on the outside, roomy, tall and bigger than life. But it doesnt take much to bring it down like a hail storm which occurs naturaly. Under pressure it cracks ,splinters then becomes absolutely usless not only to its admirers but to its self.
Personaly i'd prefer a sturdy shed. Made to withstand the elements no matter what is thrown at it it stands. You dont worry about what you put in it, you know that what ever is in there will be kept safe. But because of that it doesnt give the owner any reason to abuse it .
A glass castle has to lie about its sturdiness in order to make it self a convincingly good buy, but the buyer beware no matter how tempting and shiny and safe that glass castle looks, one day definately crumble and make one big mess, Then you will go out to a shed and get out the trusty broom to clean up the mess from that glass castle !!!!!!
So which are you ?

I would say I'm your basic model sturdy shed. No frills. But will be there no matter what weather comes my way and will protect what is important to those who entrust me with their treasures

I have proven over & over that I am the sturdy shed with bars on the windows and reinforced walls & ceilings. But I have had a couple of owners abuse the privilege - fortunately not many or often. I am usually the quiet one that keeps things going. I doubt you'll find ur glass castles admitting to their status on here. My experience with glass castles is that they are so self absorbed that they don't realize the mess they are. jmhodrinker over morning coffee

Sometimes I'm a glass castle, sometimes I'm a sturdy shed, sometimes I'm the bomb shelter and sometimes I'm even the burning skyscraper....
I'm a myriad of...stuff. I can't be put in a box and labeled.

Architecturally I'd say I'm more of a once glorious cathedral, full of dark and light and shimmering colours...but somehow it was set on an island in the middle of a hurricane.

Need a rescue ship brave enough to discover it.

I'm a sturdy stone castle!

The outer shell of my "castle" is pleasing enough to entice, with glass windows that reflect an interesting and brilliant array of colors; but the heart of my castle is inviting and warm, with a sturdy and strong foundation that can stand the test of time.
