Just a curious question for people out there in Mingle land. Say you are dating someone and you find out they cheated on you, do you give another chance? If so, how many? Personally, I don't give second chances. Once you mess up, that's it. What about you guys?

Nah, I couldn't be in a relationship with a giant pink elephant in the room. I'm kind of possessive as in I don't want to share who ever I'm with. That is my treasure and it's just not special anymore, it looses it's magic if somebody else sees, touches or takes it.

If the damage he has done is not too serious and he sincerely said sorry to what he did then I will give him a second chance. After that second chance, I will no longer give another chances..

even if you cheated in your exams dammm teachers wont give you second chance! i don either give a chance if it happened in a relationship, chances you will be duped again. although we are not here to judge and also we havent hear the side of the cheater only the cheated one. so lets be fair of judgement!

Unless you are a Bad person, being cheated on is not about you. A cheater is going to cheat. Likeing you, loving you, being his soulmate, have a bunch of kids with a cheater. None of that matters. No one Woman will be enough for any Man. If he has the chance, he is going to cheat. Some are just dumb about it. So one chance or none, at some point he is going to cheat.

cheating (IMO) is one of the most hurtful things you can do to someone. I don't give second chances on it. That is a bridge burned immediately. I would just move on.

Isnt it really just a fantasy that we can only have or want one person? Just asking, I think about it myself.

anyone that wants more than one shouldn't be in a monogamous relationship.

If someone wants more than one then either leave the relationship or let the others know you don't want to be exclusive.

If someone wants to "play the field"...I don't care...just be honest about it.

IMO cheating is cowardly. It implies tricks, lies, etc.

Something I have no use for myself

Now if someone is honest with me, then I have a choice to be ok with it or move on, but I could at least respect their honesty

in a relationship both parties must be open to each other and trust each other. if there is no trust it may mislead to something.
if both have trust and respect to each other theres no way to cheat ones heart!

If you a are a dumb cheater, you will get caught. True. But a true cheater knows how not to let cheating become thier life. Just a part of thier life.

I have to ask. Is the relationship a LDR? Or a local relationship? That would matter in if I would get upset or not. If it was a LDR,and we both knew that we couldn't be together for awhile. Well, I'm a believer in that a woman does have needs. The same as a man has needs. So. As long as she told me that she boinked, I wouldn't mind. But then again. I believe in open relationships.
