So what is your " ultimate " burger?

Any particular kind of beef??

What condiments??

I'm not looking for restaurant recommendations.

I want to know how YOU would make your " ultimate " burger.

There is a little diner around here called the Greasy Spoon. They make the best cheeseburgers with grilled onions, pickles and mustard around. You get three for $2.50. They are not huge, but bigger than a slider from White Castle.

There is some fridays restaurants in Portland, I remeber ferrels when I was a kid especially on my birthday, quite embarrassing because they would make a big scene with whistles and sirens and bring a great big ice cream banana split and sing happy birthday I never let my parents live that down:smile:

How I make my own depends on what mood I'm in. Sometimes it's just mayo, ketchup, cheese, and lettuce. Other times I add fried onions and bacon. Or sometimes I leave off mayo and ketchup and add salsa.

While I do appreciate the restaurant recommendations....that really isn't what I am looking for.

For those of you who have posted your ultimate burger...I thank you.

Keep 'em coming.

I am always looking for new ways to make a burger.

I make my own burger patties by mixing portions of ground beef, pork, onions, garlic and mushrooms. Salt and pepper too, of course. They taste great fried or grilled. winking
