Some one posted that a girl who wears skirts more than pants is feminine...the only time I'm in pants is when I'm up the mountain...

skirt wearer..

I'm going to just take that as, I am feminine.
love a woman in a skirt or dress. don't see that much anymore, especially here in redneck country

Redneck country..does not sound like a good place for me, for soooo
many reasons, not just skirts.

I  being a woman..I never considered myself a very 'feminine' one though.

Was why I started the thread..I'm still not clear on these definitions.

How about this question..Ginger or MaryAnn? Still comes down to preference...
but both were very feminine. I think it's possible to be feminine without being "prissy"

I am very girlie but not prissy. I will go to the gym, bike and lift weights, but I will do so wearing a good support bra, lipstick, and mascara thank you - with my nails done. I am serious so I don't flirt a lot there, but a little maybe - between reps...winking

My gym experience was like a bar without the booze...everyone on the prowl. I go to the gym to work out, get sweaty..not make attempts at "hooking up". But hey, if it's working for ya far be it for me judge...

Andy Taylor...played by Andy Griffith. Yeah, I'm being serious.
I totally get that! He was good looking without being out of reach, sweet and charming with a great sense of humor and downhome wisdom. A man that made mistakes but would eventually realize it and be humble enough to appologize and learn from them. And he could sing. Yep, Andy was a keeper.

Hey As..hows it hanging brother?

Dennis Rodman as feminine...hmmmmmm

I actually find Ashton to be very masculine, pretty, but still masculine.
I'm doing good. Staying masculine, lol. Kutcher might as well be an Avon door to door salesperson. Hey, some women would love to take advantage of that, so don't complain, lol. Dennis Rodman is more like a confused child who has been scarred for life witnessing his mother burlesque dancing just after she applied make-up on his face back in the dressing room.

Sometimes, feminine isn't always great. What if the woman can't stand the smell of a newly opened bottle of Bud-Light, or a woman that gets scared of lightining bugs, or what if she screams "Ewwwwwwwww, ewwww, ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww, YOU'RE HURTING HIM!" as you bait her hook? ...TOM GIRLS ROCK!!!

Mmm, Bud Light. It's been a while. I bait my own hooks, thanks, minnows or worms.

Yeah, umm, the last time I wore a skirt, and had to pop out in the pasture to check on something, one of the goats thought it hysterically funny to nibble the skirt. I wasn't as amused.

Well to me my Mac is masculine because

he takes charge when he needs to yet steps back when he knows I can handle things on my own

he can get off his Harley to scoop a dog off the road

he cries at girlie movies. Lol:heart:

Oh good.....I'm not the only one. laugh

He could be so sweet and romantic with his girl but still be a strong man.

And yeah, he'd totally own up to his mistakes and laugh at himself. love

This topic came up in an earlier thread and made me wonder.
Of course it always comes down to preference...
Gentlemen, what is "feminine" to you?
Ladies, what do you consider "masculine"?

To me feminine is a word describing a certain disposition, not a specific sex, and no Im not gay. But to be honest Ive known alot of feminine men. Of coarse, that is all based on the whole sterotype immage of a woman my father handed down to me. It came from his father, and his father......

Masculine equates to me to be financially independent, not fussy about things, to the point and logical most of the time, steadfast, calm, a person of action and few words, etc... physically it would be a deep voice, moving with strength and purpose, large hands, possibly rough hands, large steps, etc....

Feminine equates to me to be nurturing, soft, gentle, a gentle but infallible strength, emotionally overwhelm able ie tears when sad or happy, able to see the gray areas in life instead of just seeing black and white, healing, etc..... Physically it would be moving with grace and calm, higher pitched voices, excitability (girlish), no cussing, being helpful in all situations, etc...

I know I am forgetting a whole lot on both accounts.

I do want to say though that all people are a mixture of these things. I have never met a person who is all masculine with no feminine qualities and visa versa.

I agree it is a mixture of things that makes us who we are on all levels.
