I could not discount the Exorcist with the rotating demon head from the 70s.

i liked it, anyway... Shaun Of The Dead is excellent. I think it's the best zombie movie of the 2000's. George Romero was such a huge fan of it he invited Edgar Wright and Simon Pegg out to the filming of Land of the Dead and gave them cameos as zombies- (Simon Pegg)
