I whole heartedly agree. I do greet newbies and amke a fuss of them when
I see them, I do makea point of going into the newbies section and move
down the line and say stuff like well, you won't make friends here in
this section, you need to come into the forums, a bit of encouragement
certainly goes a loooong way, So come on "Old Timers " give everyone,
especially the newer ones a chance. STARTING FROM NOW !!!!!!!!!

Since Ive been on this site, which isnt all that long, Ive posted, and
chatted via email with great people..........The fact is that no matter
whether your chatting in real life or in computer land, people are going
to be people. Some will like you, some wont..its a fact of life.

Sure I feel invisible at times, at other times, Im part of the fun, or
serious group....depending on my mood, is what has me either joining in,
or backing off.

So basically, Im only human, I make mistakes, and learn from them, or at
least some of them...Every day I make at the least two new
mistakes...the one thing I know is that joining JSH was not a
mistake....Im making friends from all over the place.

umm i tried to search tru the members n just saw lots of inactive
people. been a member 3 days n i have no friends or anything ( its
problably me mey b im to honest) but i am thinking of giving up this
site

I find it takes a bit of posting and when people get to know you...they
will open up to talking to you...That seems to be just the way it
is...Until then...Hang in there!!!!!!!

Ok yes I'm dragging this up because I had no chance to defend MY point.
I went to bed and I haven't been back until right now...so FIRST I want
to say this was NOTHING against Morena or anyone person I love everyone
here. SECOND it was not about whether or not people pay ATTENTION to the
thread but that they were RUDE to her. I've seen it more than once aimed
at alot of different people but I'll stick to NethingOnce. It's happened
repeatedly and I've seen it. She has since talked to me on myspace about
it and she is thinking about leaving. No wonder w/the way she was
treated and I'm sure a few of the selfish replies to this topic didn't
help. Guess what? NO one here has the right to treat people like that.
No one. If it was everyday life YES there would be a few that wouldn't
agree with any given topic but they wouldn't be attacked by 10-15 people
at once,it's overwhelming. So if a few of you could just STOP being so
damnn defensive maybe you could see how NONE of us are perfect all the
time. Whether you write a ten page speech or not everyone makes
mistakes. The thing that needs to come from this is we need to LEARN how
to change and ease up because after all it IS the internet so just
CHILL.

As a newby I am really surprized at the amount of acceptance I have
recieved although I have not posted any topics other than a little help
with the I M and thank you to all who replied. After reading this entire
thread there are some very very funny people here and I really enjoy
reading the conversations. I am a bit shy (at first) even on the
computer but I am amazed at the good nature of most of the people on
this site. Someone said that in cyberspace as well as real life there
will be someone who does not like you that is their problem not the new
person. I am just so glad i found this site and read this thread. thank

Hi everyone. I'm a "newbie" and I don't care. In my case, I was
diagnosed about 2 years ago with " Social anxiety disorder" and I don't
like it but the fact is that I have a strong desire to get the hell out
of this shell and I'll do whatever I have to to get the job done. Lots
of times all I need is someone to talk to especialy at 4 in the morning
s0 if there's ANYONE who want's to chatt with me, I'm here. Ignore the
"oldies". We aint here for them.

I'm pretty new myself.I have never been on any site before,so I really
was alittle nervous at first.But I thought I would try and get involved
in posting,so I did.And I thought some of the response seemed rude.I
read alot of other posts,but did'nt response at first.It did seem like a
cligue to me.But I hung in there,and have met some nice people.I think I
judged before I really got to read alot of the topics,and see what alot
of the members were really like.So to all the newbies,I would say hang
in there.You might not get resonses to all your posts,but in time you
will.There really is alot of nice people here,so give them a chance.And
in time I think you will really enjoy it.Also I would like to say,I had
minor surgey on my eyes and in about another week the healing will be
done,so I'll upload my picture so you can see who your talking to.
