Here are the lyrics in case ya' wanna' sing along.
The Great Reneger (Michael Fischer) www.thefischers.net Hey have you heard hes gone back on his word On the internet there's a big long list Of promises broken so eloquently spoken And you wonder why so many millions are pi$$ed?! Cause hes the (Chorus) Great Reneger a politician at heart A politician practicing his art Hes the Great Reneger, neither black or white Hes many shades of gray far left from whats right Hell tell you anything to get you on his side Like Change You Can Believe In, Trust me would I lie? Well have transparency, CSPAN, Post all bills on the net There'll be no lobbyists, no pork, Have we seen it? Not Yet! (chorus) Bridge 1 They've had votes in the night behind closed doors Senators bribed no better than whores Pushing their program refusing to hear When the voice of the people is perfectly clear (chorus) His skin so thin and when scratched you can see The horrible sight that lies just beneath An unseasoned novice lifted up in pride But theres a fall comin' soon and there'll be no place to hide! (Chorus) Bridge 2 Teleprompter in place he can really talk that talk Blowin' smoke is cheap but he don't walk the walk And what politician hates is when you turn on the light Hell run like a roach for the darkness of night |

For many years i have avoided Hank Jr. since he didn't sing the same tune that he use to.. but this isn't bad.

hateful rhetoric and clever(possibly racist) yet juvenile songwriting
but for someone of his supposed experience and talent,, I expect MUCH better,,,my high schooler could have written it,,,, |

I read all the words to the jingle.
Found just truths. No hate. No racism. Hat's off to the writer. |

I read all the words to the jingle. Found just truths. No hate. No racism. Hat's off to the writer. not uncommon, there is a tendency in our culture to confuse opinions with facts and call them 'truth' |

BTW, here's the definition. It's true to a fault. renege, renegue [rɪˈniːg -ˈneɪg] vb (intr; often foll by on) to go back (on one's promise, etc.) vb & n (Group Games / Card Games) Cards other words for revoke [C16 (in the sense: to deny, renounce): from Medieval Latin renegāre to renounce; see renegade] reneger , reneguer n |

It was an extremely bad play on words. It was in very bad taste. I know the first person I think of to voice my opinion is Hank Williams Jr.............

Actually, I did not see one racist word in there.....I saw went back on his word, transperacy, lobbyist, pork bellying, and everything he stated towards change. He has not made one movee towards any of those campaign promises, just as others before him and people remain angry a distrusting of politicians peeriod right now.

Wank Hank had some other very tasteless songs he sang at the right wing and tea bagging rallies
He is not a classy man at any level that is for sure. |
|

Hank Jr. is supposedly running for the Senate too. Remember the campaign song he wrote for McCain? |

And there aren't any other stars that have done tasteless skits and promoted candidates on their shows, through song, and many otheer media means. Radio changed "politican" that masses could be reached at one time. With radio and television came the power of subliminal messaging.....through, shows, commercials, and songs subliminal messaging sends through to the unconscious....not everyone gets affected but what would you do for a Klondike Bar?

Rush and Hanky run in the same class of no class.
They excel at bringing people to the ultimate sensation of being slimed by the worst humanity has to offer. Showers after are a necessity. |

With radio and television came the power of subliminal messaging.....through, shows, commercials, and songs subliminal messaging sends through to the unconscious....not everyone gets affected but what would you do for a Klondike Bar? I remember the ICP song "Praying for George Bush To Die" Lyrics to **** George Bush Like His Dad Did : There's a man we all know Looks like his dad and has got lot's of dough He comes from Texas and he runs the show He's got more money then you'll ever see That's why he wants the presidency To stretch that all mighty dollar from sea to shining sea He says that he's not religious He's just puttin' his faith in the lord Hey why take chances when your after your final reward? Well if prayin' has made him successful Then hell, I'll give it a try So I'm prayin' I'm prayin' I'm prayin' up to the sky I'm prayin' I'm prayin' I'm prayin' for George Bush to die I don't really want him to die man, it's a joke He's got rich friend waiting at home They know what they want and know who they own Why pay a tithe when you can pay for the throne? Cuz ruling the world's a numbers game Just ask the meek and the sick and the lame Cuz they can't get past the guards down on country club lane Now he says that he's got compassion As much as money can buy Just don't hold your breath while your waiting for the pigs to fly by Love and praise and innocence are like the presidency The more you pay to get 'em the less that they mean Rich men with problems in Texas all know Just ask Boy George he won't say no Unless of course you're an inmate waiting on death row It might be youthful indiscretion But what that means nobody knows It must be the savings and loan he put up his nose Now he says he's ready to lead us At much more than 10 cents a dance But who's really paying the tune While we watch Georgie prance? I think of Thomas Jefferson It makes me want to cry To think that the chair he sat in, someone could buy George wears his faith like a money belt But I'll pray to mad Tom instead Please come back Tom and save us from King George again and his friends If praying made George successful Oh hell I'll give it a try I'm prayin' I'm praying I'm prayin' up to the sky I'm prayin' I'm praying I'm prayin' for George Bush to die I'm prayin' sing it I'm prayin' I'm prayin' like it's going out of style I'm prayin' ya I'm prayin' For George Bush to DIE http://www.lyricsmania.com/****_george_bush_like_his_dad_did_lyrics_insane_clown_posse.html Interesting I didn't here any outrage when this was published. |

I find the "Bush die" song just as offensive as the others if not more.
I never heard it. |
