A school in Massachusetts was handing out condoms to first graders. That's a little to young I think. Comments?

I imagine they are going to be dealing with some pretty upset parents. Can't imagine a school board condoning this.

Well let's consider this topic from another perspective. Some parents are sueing McDonalds for targeting childen in marketing ads enticing them to purchase a happy meal because it has a toy.

mmmm - becasue parents can't control a first grader who wants a happy meal with a toy they will sue the organization that provides the choice.

After a logical evaluation of these two issues I can say that handing out the condems should not be met with any protest - no toy as been included - but if a toy should find its way into a box, at least it will be properly wrapped.

Well stated Red

Parents (some) seem to want the schools to take care of everything then when the schools do the everything isn't what they wanted.
I'm just so glad my boys are grown up now...I never utilized mainstream schools anyway. They get so much pressure from parents do basically raise their kids then the parents don't like they way they raised them.

With 3 grown sons I still am not a Grandma...parents need to teach their children, not the schools.

what was the schools reasoning for this? very few children that young have any concept of how to 'work' things, nor would they want to,,,,,,,

Maybe they're supposed to take them home and give them to their parents?

Dear Parents:
