Okay. I also need data on these locations. These are the five schools I want to go to for my Masters.

1. USC (LA)- Yes. Southern Cal is my top choice.
2. U of Michigan (Ann Arbor)
3. U of Tennessee (Knoxville)
4. U of South Florida (Tampa) (I don't need data here, lol)
5. U of Maryland (Baltimore)

1. The weather is awesome. Don't mind the drive-by shootings though, it's all a myth.
2. Michigan is a good choice to go too school, terrible choice for working.
3. Don't have a ****ing clue.
4. Good, cause I can't help you here anyway.
5. Maryland has good schools, depending on what you study it also can provide awesome occupations choices.

--On the plus side, nursing jobs are always going to be in demand.

I love you man!

I did it! Four years down, two to go. I'll be 44 when I finish. It's totally worth it! Undergrads don't always look at you funny, and there's plenty of more mature folks in grad programs anyway, so you don't stick out too much. Once you get over the feeling weird about it part, you get into the groove. It's kind of nice being back in student mode. Your environment changes a lot, and you have flex time. Plus, it's nice to use the ole nugget again if you're leaving a burnout career where you stopped using your brain for anything but calculating accrued vacation time and finding inventive ways to avoid meetings.

I'll be a senior senior at UVM after summer break. I've been going to classes full time for the last two years and I love it! bigsmile

I feel like I'm 20 again, although my chronological age is 40!

The fact is, most older students know why they're there and take it more seriously than many of the younger kids. Even my professors told me this. I'm not spreading my wings for the first time, trying to find a boyfriend or worried about which frat party to attend. I know what I want, I know what's required to get it, and I'm thrilled to be given the opportunity to get my degree finally. I figure better late than never so I study my arse off. And according to my grades, I'm proof that you CAN teach an old dog new tricks! shades

You're going to do great Goof! Congrats on your decision. If ya need any help or motivation, hit me up. flowerforyou

I am thinking about going back.

But I really have no idea what for.

I don't want to go take a bunch of writing classes because I don't want someone telling me what the " rules " of writing are. I am having WAY too much fun breaking all of them.

Not to mention, I was a HORRIBLE student in school. My grades were patently pathetic.

I would basically have to start all over again and wind up taking a bunch of classes that I have no interest in and wasn't any good at the first time around.

MissWright: Thanks girlie! And hey, I am a firm believer that if you put your mind to it, you can do anything.

I started attending school again in February. It's been a trip. I'm enjoying the learning experience a heck of lot better than I did the first time around.

My daughter graduated high school last year(2009), and when she started college last summer, so did I. I had never gone to college, so it was a little scary, although the moving away and starting over was the hardest part!
I am in an RN program that is very intense. 15 month RN Associates degree, 2.5 Bachelors online and one more online after that for the masters.
So far, it has beena lot easier than I expected. The hardest part is being away from my friends in PA. I cannot wait to get my RN and move back home!
At the tiem I started abck to school, I was 46 and had not been in school for 27 years, but I ACED the entrance exams that the recent graduates struggled with and I am in honor society, so that keeps the young kids from picking on me too much!
