Yea it doesn't really matter what it is called as long as it is all done fairly. I just want all the guys to be able to compete on a similar level so it isn't all one team, all the time. So far it looks like the others are staying with the Hendricks bunch. I think we will soon have a great mix of drivers winning races since they are all getting used to the COT.

I agree i think more and more people will start winning races the Car of tomorrow is designed to let the smaller teams be more even with the bigger teams it will be interesting though that the COT will not race on a 1.5 mile track this year and most races are on that type of track i hope nascar knows what they are doing.

It will be cheaper in that respect but the travel thing is killing the deal. They are looking at Mexico,Canada and now CHINA. That's over doing it. The trucks already had the spoiler types on the COT so they were already tested and i think it is here to stay.NASCAR has tightened the screws on cheating too so Hendricks will have to be real sly now with the 45 engineers they have to out-smart Nascar. They ALL try to cheat. It's a high tech game now days. The window that was moved by the jack screw on Jimmy Johnsons car is an example of the effort being put forth to cheat and beat the other teams.

It's a name. That's all it is.
The truth is it's all about the money, as usual!

Call it what you want, the race will go on and the fans will continue to watch and root for their faves and it won't matter a hill of beans next year at this time.

The race next week will supposedly be filled with new announcements of what is going on with several teams. It should be entertaining to watch.
Gordon is doing good but some of the other teams are coming alive and now DEI wants to merge with GINN.

I just started a thread on another site re: the shake-up at Ginn. Don't think those personnel changes are going to help Ginn move closer to the chase,but with a merge? That is a different story.

I didn't know about Ginn and DEI maybe merging that should be interesting how that turns out. Does anyone know who will be driving the 8 car for DEI next year if it will be the 8 car. I have heard Biffle, Kyle Busch, Ryan Newman. Coke, McDonalds, and Budweiser are vying to be the primary sponsor on Kahne's car next year. M&M's is supposed to leave Gilliland and go back to Elliott Sadler. Sterling marlin and Joe Nemechek were fired so Regan smith will be in marlin's ride the rest of the year and Almirola and Martin will split time in the 01

Wouldn't surprise me to see Kyle Busch in it. But, don't see that going over too well with the general public.

It has been rumored that there will be a 4th car at Gibbs and a 4th car at Childress. Scott Wimmer is being rumored to be the 4th car at childress. No idea about Gibbs though. Stephen wallace is supposed to go with Childress in 08 or 09 so maybe it will be him instead. hard to tell it being so far away and all.

Kyle is young enough to learn right from wrong and getting away from his brother is best for him. I think he will be good in the future with the right team. Gibbs is the best at handling wild personalities. He handles Tony very well and he could keep the Washigton Dead Skins pretty under control also.

Ginn and DEI officially became one company today Regan Smith was sent to the truck series in the Ginn Truck. starting this weekend the 01 of Mark Martin and the 15 of menard are owned by ginn and the 8 and 1 of dale jr and truex are owned by DEI. Newman and Haas Racing may buyout Robert Yates racing which would be a huge deal for both parties involved. Newman Haas Racing has one the last 3 title in the champ car series and is on the way to a 4th title this season. M&Ms is still expected to
leave gilliland and go with elliott sadler for evernham
