If you're really hung up on the accuracy of the age of someone you may want to potentionally get intimate with, meet them and look at their hands. Hands never lie and tell you a lot about the person. Frankly, I'm always a lot more interested in someone's IQ, their sense of reciprocity and their talent for social interaction. -Kerry O. Yes, me too. Yet when looking at the profile pics (hey..was bored and curuious if things were any different ) this stood out front, and had to mention it . Hands are interesting, I've worked with my hands and they still look good (genetics?) and have seen people with very old hands when not so themwselves. It really amounts to meeting a person, and who they are, definitely. |

One of the first women I dated after the divorce was a gal from work that I would see on the job from time to time, and she initiated the dating too. Well it turns out that she had just turned 34 and I was 49 at the time. I thought she was at least 40 and she thought I was much, much younger.

I'm usually guessed as 40 ever since I turned 25 Really? Wow! Never guess that. I would've said 35 or so. I usually get either 5 years above my age or lately 5 years below, which is funny as all get out. As far as in general. I have a hard time guessing older men's age, especially comparing to dad. Dad is 66, but looks far better then most guys I've met in their 50's. But, he has mom color his hair for him, and keep it cut. He's also still physically active, even with some weight gain, so that helps too. Some guys I've talked with are in their late 40's and are grizzeled and gray and look 70 or so. I actually saw their driver's licenses, too, so could verify they weren't lying. |

I disagree KerryO, my hands show older than my age because of the work they have done. I probably should re-phrase that to say that hands will be the 'tell' of someone who doesn't look their age otherwise. I know that's true in my case-- I often am pegged at being early 40's when in fact I turned 56 a few weeks ago. But, I'm starting to get those little age freckles on the backs of my hands. Prolly the radiation. While I know the whole thing about age is some internal instinct at work to pick a mate who will best help you put your genes into the next-gen lottery, I don't know why it's so important if one isn't interested in procreating. I was married many years ago to someone who was more than a decade older than myself. I've known folks in their early 30's who were mensches and people in their 60's who still acted like immature adolescents. -Kerry O. |

yep, you can lift the boobs, tuck the tummy, suck the fat off the azz, and tighten the face....they have yet to find a way to not show age in the hands.. I keep my nails along and wear pretty rings, a distraction from the bulging veins. A friend of mine was just remarking the other day about what plastic surgery has done for Joan Rivers. Personally, I never saw the big deal with a case of the sags. I always thought it just gave them that 'lived in' look. -Kerry O. |

Was looking at all the local yokels in my age group. The reason I say yokel is over 1/2 of them state they are in their early 50's and whoa! if living here does that to guys my age, maybe I should look for younger men. Seriously, why do men post that they are younger and do they really believe they can pass for that age? Whats up with that gentlemen? (and women ) |

I've seen guys clearly in their late 50's to early 60's post their age as mid 30's. I heard from only one who said he posted his age wrong because he only dates younger women and wanted to show up in their search criteria. |
