"You're growing up...

"Starting to miss youth and think of it as something alien now,

"when you'll never be closer to it again.

"But you're close to the source of that youthful longing, that's why you're looking back...

"and that's why you can't make out a damn thing."

The forest is there to bewilder and entice,
The house is there to hold you safe while you wait,
For those who pass these ancient guards,
Deserve the haven they stand to protect

"They are not long, the days of wine and roses..."

the original film with Lee Remick was moving, very well done with an excellent cast, and tragic. I believe it included Jack Lemmon. The Days of Wine and Roses has always been a favorite film that I did not wish to see twice

"They are not long, the weeping and the laughter,
Love and desire and hate:
I think they have no portion in us after
We pass the gate.

They are not long, the days of wine and roses:
Out of a misty dream
Our path emerges for a while, then closes
Within a dream."

- Dowson

... THE ... JIG ... of ... LIFE ... @---->=====

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RtBZSIrmgiU

Hello, old lady... know your face well.

... I know it well.

She says,
"Ooh-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na!
I'll be sitting in your mirror.
Now is the place where the crossroads meet.
Will you look into the future?

"Never, never say goodbye
To my part of your life.
No, no, no, no, no!
Oh, oh, oh,

"Let me live!"
She said.
"C'mon and let me live, girl!"
She said,
"C'mon and let me live, girl!"

("C'mon and let me live!")

"This moment in time,"
(She said.)
It doesn't belong to you,"
(She said,)
It belongs to me,

"And to your little boy and to your little girl,
And the one hand clapping:

Where on your palm is my little line,
When you're written in mine
As an old memory?
Ooh, na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-

"Never, never say goodbye
To my part of your life.
Oh no, no, no, no, no!
Never, never, never!
Never, never let me go!"

She said,
"C'mon and let me live, girl!'

("C'mon and let me live!")

She said,
"C'mon and let me live, girl!"

("C'mon and let me live!")

I put this
moment..............................................here.
I put this moment.........................here.
I put this moment--

"Over here!
"Over here!
Can't you see where memories are kept bright?
Tripping on the water like a laughing girl.
Time in her eyes is spawning past life,
One with the ocean and the woman unfurled,

Holding all the love that waits for you here.
Catch us now for I am your future.
A kiss on the wind and we'll make the land.
Come over here to where When lingers,
Waiting in this empty world,
Waiting for Then, when the lifespray cools.

For Now does ride in on the curl of the wave,
And you will dance with me in the sunlit pools.
We are of the going water and the gone.

We are of water in the holy land of water
And all that's to come runs in
With the thrust on the strand."

I want to tarry HERE ...

I put this moment HERE ...

And for the first "TIME" on Mingle?

I would that we could hold back the flip to linger here ...

- As if our collective childhood walks through this Forest ...

... To that Ocean -

- And back to THE blessed House Haven ...

- A-GAIN ...

"Fancy a nice cuppa tea??? ... I'll just put on a kettle ... "

... Yet, still ... I long to turn the pages for each new word spoken that is painted then played ...
