I am a queen of a house plant jungle...but only have a few potted
flowers outside and a tomato plant. I am renting my house so my big
plans of a large outdoor garden will have to wait.

Stacey my trick is to forget to water them for a whole week and
basically ignore them! They love it...survival of the fittest perhaps?

before the kids we had a lovely perennial herb garden,
also lettuce, tomatoes, eggplant, basil, peppers, kale,
cucumber, rhubarb, sorrell, carrots & broccoli

in our yard we had a dwarf peach and early and late
raspberries, seckel pear tree, & concord grapes

with the kids - we moved and now go to the Farmer's
markets - or just the store....

How did you kill the cactus? I was thinking of getting air ferns and
cacti. Was it the shading; over watering or was the cactus just allergic
to you?

the kids are really excited about the chicks and the
whole family has been incredibly tolerant of our coming
and going right past them.

the nest is in a hanging spider about 3 feet from our
front door about 6 feet from the ground.
