Hi! I sometimes wonder if our world of men leaders will slowly change in time to see women take the main role of responsibility. In Australia there has been an increase of female politicians taking leading roles in their parties. In the business world there are many capable females who are running the executive administration side of companies and are doing well in that role. On a personal view point I don't mind at all as I have worked under quite a few female CEO's who are quite capable of managing business operations. I suppose in the heavy industrial areas of work you would have more males than females. The reason I mentioned the above is will the male figure in time become the one who is being asked for a date by a female instead of the traditional role of the male doing the asking. Would the females prefer that role, or would they prefer males to keep doing what they have been doing in the romance department. Just curious for your genuine remarks "not trashy comments" would be great. Pete. Perhaps it's only a new phenomena in USA, due to the fact that there are more men out of jobs than women..thanks to the economy, administrative/office service/nursing jobs remained more steady than - for example- contruction and factory jobs. It does effect the dating scene, you like it or not..women getting more role, even though it's happening not due to change of customs and traditions.. (Those will have to adjust and will adjust unless there is a huge and sudden "change" that alter the way of life completely - which I doubt would happen anytime soon) Lately men are more psychologically effected..taking away some "manhood" , working for a less paying less "manly" job (if they have a job) , while the unemployed (or part-time employed) remain somewhat demoralized and it is the worst nightmare for guys even just thinking about, dating a woman who makes almost twice as much as guys in many cases and it's the guy who supposed to be the head of the household figure with a steady income. On the other hand I was regularly asked out by women just like I asked women out, I would say 50-50 percent back in Europe (regardless of economic crisis or jobs) . Perhaps one day more women realize, that they can also say "hey, how are you" without negative consequences or just take their chances as much as guys do, instead of playing the usual "I am only a pickable but I won't pick" mentality. Some people simply will refuse to change and find these hardships completely unacceptable and yet won't be able to do anything about it...I suspect if there is a poll out there somewhere, it must show a jump in the number of singles in the past few years, or even singles who remained single for a much longer time than ever. |

I love women in control. To me they seem to make decisions with thier hearts rather than thier urges

My claim to fame is to be on the first crew of women to ever serve on a combat ship in the Canadian navy so you see; shyness is not a factor. If I waited for a man to ask me out; hell would freeze over. LOL |

LOL Well government policies do change overtime, and no doubt it will most likely occur that women will at some point be employed in front line positions in western styled governments. I guess with most governmental changes requires major approval by society to which the government governs, for any new Acts to be passed in the senate. So it is quite possible that you may serve in that role in the Canadian Navy at some point. I think the more females entering into politics will no doubt help initiate that area to include the female in operational combat duties. Anyway I wish you all the best in whatever you do in Canada. |

i prefer to do the asking; that way, i'm assured that i'm attracted to the person i'm asking out and don't have to find an excuse to say no.

Id be quite happy to stay at home and do domestics for a change and watch days of our lives. Well perhaps not days of our lives I could duck off down to the beach for a spot of fishing for the evening meal too Although having an income does allow you to plan for different things of interest. The Young & The Restless. Only way to go. I simply cannot conceive of asking a man out. Even though times have changed. They have not changed me. |
