may my ennui pass quickly. the winter of my discontent lingers still. what shall I search for? if I just run while I search, can I escape the conclusion that I cannot find what I don't know I'm searching for?

Ian McKellen is awesome.

That man is a phenom.

I've got an old BBC disc of him and Dame Judi Dench doing MacBeth from the 70's. Let me just say I scored huge with that one.

I've got that on my computer! I can't believe anybody else saw that. That soliloquy in Act 5 gets me every time.

AH! I know! Honestly, that's how Shakespeare should be done. Actors, lights, stage, and power.

I miss that power in all these actors we have now... Like to see half of them attempt it. laugh

The closest I've come to liking Shakespeare is West Side Story, and Troma's Tromeo and Juliet(written by James Gunn:

Juliet Capulet: Parting is such sweet sorrow.
Tromeo Que: Yeah, it totally sucks.

Tromeo Que: What light from yonder Plexiglas breaks?

Lemmy(yes, that Lemmy): Two households, different as dried plums and pears in fair Manhattan, where we lay our scene.

Hehe. Ian McKellen played the angel of death from "The Seventh Seal" come alive in "Last Action Hero". I never realized that until the other day.

Torgo should make a top 50 list or something.
