Topic: Would you stay .. | |
---|---|
As soon as I can figure out where to go and how to get there, I'll be gone. Never been in a worse environment in my life. I hate that feeling. Was in a place once that was like a city without a soul. Honestly would have lost my mind if I'd stayed there. ARGH |

Well I am a sucker for big city. I've lived in or close to the biggest ones in the country.
But it's fun to move around. I've lived on both coasts and in the center. No idea what's next .. but of course having children keeps you where they are if you are close. We are. |

where you live? If you didn't have to? I LOVE big cities. I grew up in Los Angeles, lived in Chicago and fav place to vaca is NYC (Manhattan please =) But .. I moved here (Colorado Springs CO) 16 years ago, and I gotta say it's pretty dang awesome. Beautiful weather .. amazing mountains .. four-seasons .. cool type city of 1/2 mill. Close enough to Denver for culture. Only thing missing is the ocean/beach. If it had that .. heck I'd think I'd died and gone to heaven. What about where you live? You like? You love? You hate? 24 years of choice!!! Paradise...google Town of 1770 Queensland Australia... I live in the most pristine, ecologically profound corner of the world...the Great Barrier Reef is at my front door, nestled in the Coral Sea...surrounded by thousands of acres of National parks and State Forests.... the Great Dividing Range at my back door...an abundance of indigenous wildlife in my yard, on my deck rails... no crime....have never locked a door, or taken the keys out of the ignition of the car...have walked barefoot all of those 24 years... I love it...I followed my heart to where it resonates loudest. |

I have thought about moving alot lately...I have always lived in or around my small town.most of my family is here and I felt I should raise my daughter around family. Now that she is almost 18 I am starting to feel restless-not sure when, or where yet, but my days here are numbered. It's time to stretch my wings.

I've been thinking of moving within the next year. Only thing that holds me back are my 2 sons. Something about Kentucky intrigues me & I've been thinking of relocating there within the next year. Haven't really decided yet!!

I have been around and enjoyed many nice places.
But aint no place like Texas. The snakes are snakier. The road runners are runnier. The sex is sexier. The beaches are beachier (and so are some of the chicks). The horny toads are hornier. The mexican food is mexicanier (without Montezumas Revenge). The beer is colder and the p*ssy is hotter. God I love my home! |

Hummmmmmmmmmm Australia sounds mighty inviting at this moment shshsh sounds like the life....
Even though I live in town now if I had it my way it would be the country for me about 300 acres with a big log house that had a wrap around porch nestled far enough back you could barely see it from the road. And part of the property would be lake front property now that would a little bit of heaven have everything I would want all in one place......but still have the privacy I enjoy... |

I love some things about Vermont...low crime, plenty of nature, the seasons, my brothers are here...but I'm yearning for a different perspective, something new and different. I can't really just up and leave for good because the kid and I both have one more year of school before we graduate, so I'm stuck here 'til May of 2011.
However, that doesn't mean I can't relocate temporarily this summer. Fingers crossed, I'm flying the coop as soon as the final bell for the semester tolls in a few weeks. The dog and I are going on an adventure to parts unknown! |
