I would sincerely suggest that no one holds their breath waiting for
Jesus to come ‘back’.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Abra...I am surely not holding my breath. But, I am sure I will "when"
and "if" I am one who gets to see him ride from the sky.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Besides, doesn’t that just show a complete disrespect for creation?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~````
What?? I feel just the opposite...to me the disrespect is not giving
"the creator" the respect for His work.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~```

People are so spoiled that they simply aren’t happy with live on
earth, they need something better, so they invented a heaven and
that’s all they ever think about because they can’t stand
creation~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~`
Not so in my belief...I admire and believe there is A
creator,(God).~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~`

the way it is. Sounds pretty ungrateful if you ask me. This actually
sounds like the kind of thing that would make the ancient God of the old
testament really peeved at the people again. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
What!?? Just the opposite is my belief, "The creator of all that is
creation",would be very pleased in knowing that so many are enthused and
standing up for His art, and waiting for His entrance. Then maybe the
truth of some one of us will be revealed.
Wafers, these threads keep on going as long as there are things people
want to say, so by all means please come in at any time.
Just to explain something, though, about 'misinterpreting' Luke - not
everyone believes the new testament is the absolute truth, the literal
word of God, so of course some people do not believe Jesus will come
back.
Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes
to the Father except through me."
John 14:6
Very heavy words considering that people want the Islamic faith (which
you have to deny Jesus Christ as your personal savior) and Christians to
get along. I just read where a person shared the faith of both
religions. What an oxymoron!
We all must be ready for tomorrow because tomorrow may not come. In the
end, we will chose sides, right now is the time to decide instead of
waiting.
All I have to say about this is.. If you're living like there is no GOD
you better be right. I would rather live thinking that there is a GOD
and die to find I was wrong then to live like there is no GOD and die to
find out that there is.
You can believe that there is a God, but which God do you speak of?
Satan deceives many to believe he is God........
It’s totally irrelevant to me. I don’t base my actions on whether
there is or isn’t a god. I don’t look to religion for moral values.
My moral values are naturally as good of those of any religion. I’m
ready to meet my creator at any moment of any day.
The only thing that might be missing is a belief in a particular
dogma. And to that charge I would simply say to god, “How was I
supposed to know which books to believe or which men to follow?”.
There is nothing in any religion that suggests its any more correct than
any other religion.
Any god who would be peeved because I didn’t believe in some stupid
dogma that I had no way of knowing was actually from god would not be a
god at all but a demon!
If god is a demon then it doesn’t really make any difference what we
do, we’re all doomed to be his slaves anyway. You either give your
love freely or go to hell. Great choice by a loving god don’t you
think? Sounds more like what an earthly dictator would propose. If
that kind of god is real then I’m its compassionate superior. But how
could that be possible? How could I be more compassionate than a
supreme being? Well, I can’t be, therefore such a pathetically
uncompassionate god can’t possible exist.
God can’t be less compassionate than me. It’s pretty simple. And
I wouldn’t be such a jerk as to offer people the choice of either
loving me or going to hell. At the very least I would give them the
option of merely perishing. I could never let anyone that I created go
to hell for eternity based on what they did in a brief human lifetime on
a planet where they had extremely poor mentoring and had to guess what
the hell is going on.
God can’t be less compassionate than me. That’s impossible. So
I’m safe. God has to be at least as nice a guy as I am. Therefore
he’ll be very nice to me, because I would certainly be very nice to
anyone like me.
No one is ever going to convince me that God is a jerk.
"I would rather live thinking that there is a GOD and die to find I was
wrong then to live like there is no GOD and die to find out that there
is."
If you believe in God, then believe in God.
But to choose a life of faith as a kind of 'hedging one's bets' strikes
me as cowardly and dishonest. I'm glad most theists choose stronger
foundations for their faith.
Aye familyman7.
In a moment. Which moment?
Are you going to stop living your life waiting for him
Nay but of course you are not. You will raise your children and provide
for them.
Should the world stop everything and wait for this? That would be shear
folly. We would all starve to death. Belief is a good thing. Blind
belief is a good way to step of a cliff in the darkness.
