I've had this one dream 2 to 4 times a years for 12 years so far. Can't make heads or tails of it, and it floats between being a literal dream and a metaphoric dream. I can lucidly control it up to a point, but there's a boundary there that won't let me go beyond.

Anyone else had dreams like that? At least the repetitive ones?

I've had two such dreams that did that..

one,,I was shot,,

two, I broke a leg..

both happen many years ago,,and in both I knew it was THAT dream,,,but could never stop it from finishing its self out.

AND with BOTH,,I never had them come true??

They both seperatly lasted about 6 months each....

Yes and they come to me in two classes, prophetic (and the scary part is they are 90% of the time right when I do have them), and the ones I call PE/PLE (Past Experience/ Past Life Experience) And those can be just as disturbing.

What is worst is I wake up more tired from having those damn dreams than when I wake up repeatedly at night.

Something in your life might be bugging the hell out of you. Some form of dissatisfaction or something environmental may be bugging you. Metaphoric dreams have to be read in two contexts that over lap, literal and symbolic. Elements of your dreams like water can have a lot of different meanings. Free falling or drowning can be an expression of inadequacy or being overwhelmed.

I used to get the one where you are flying and people are grabbing at my feet and I can just feel them touching them but I move enough for them to not get a grip. It is accompanied by the feeling you get in a crowd of people. And no matter how hard you try you cannot gain any altitude to get away! I hate that dream a lot!

The dreams I can remember are usually just spastic fits of a horror movie...kind of like when you were a kid and watched your first horror movie and couldn't sleep, only I'm sleeping.

Had that dream before too. On a lecture once that covered astral projection, they said this can be a form of astral travel, but that's only one theory. smile2

Most of the dreams I remember, are repetitive dreams. I've only had a couple lucid dreams, when I was on an antidepressant.

Most of my dreams are of me being in school either after I have graduated, or sometimes after I've graduated but still taking classes. Most of the time it's eaither dark outside, or I'm lost inside. There's also usually some body of water which overflows or floods.

Darkness and water are in every dream that I can remember.

Dreams are weird...

I'd say about 80% of my prophetic dreams have come true, with several being literal, and several metaphorical, though death did happen, just not in exactly the same way, ie. in the dream the pig was strangled to death by dogs, and in real life he strangled in with a rope harness.

I can usually tell the difference with a past life sort, as nothing I'm doing now has been similar to what was, locations, clothing, language, etc.

I keep trying to land with flying dreams. LOL! HATE the spasming wake up. And yes, many are related to astral dreaming, though for me, it's rarely flying like a bird, it's more like flying like a running horse or wolf or dragon. LOL!

This dream is dreams of twin children, girl and boy, and I see them grow up. The names have changed a bit over the years, and I've never been able to see the father, but the layout is basically the same.

My repetitive dreams have a tendancy to come true...the closer I have them together, the sooner the dream comes true...it's usually a pregnancy or death. Most of my dreams though are more in the same places...places I've never been except in my dreams and I have to remember my way around; like this huge house that I go to often, I'm always lost until I find the stairs and then I can find the room I usually go to.

I used to have this one dream from the time I was a child. Finally after about 15 years it just stopped. I was in my 20's before the dream ever stopped & was about 5-6 when it started. It's never came true & I think it had something to do with my family life. Once I got away the dreams went away.

I have had one since I was a kid. I am on a row boat and I am attacked by a swarm of bees. In my dream I contemplate jumping in the water but I always wake up before I do..........smokin

I keep dreaming over and over again of being redundant

Is that one of those things they call an oxycontin?

I had one for years that I could fly. I'd fly up and perch on top of the clock that used to be attached to the Hancock Bank building in Gulfport Ms.

There is a dream you can create.

Get somewhere you can relax. Preferably lying down. You can mentally set the time you will dream and remind yourself to wake up feeling completely rested and energized. I started with 15 minutes.

Tense every muscle in your body then, allow them to relax. Start feeling the sensation of relaxation beginning in your toes and working it's way up to the top of your head.

Next, imagine yourself floating in a slow moving river. The water is just the right temperature and you know you won't sink. Allow yourself to feel and see everything as you float gently down the river.

Feel the wave motion under you and how soothing it feels.

Let us know how it went. If you felt or saw anything or if nothing at all happened.

No I really have astral projected before. There is a difference between the flying dream and astral projection. With astral projection you can clearly see your 'surroundings.' You also can read signs and features like the position of the sun for a given moment will be positionally correct for example, I used to do what I called 'flying a pattern' and the geography is all there, and the sun is rising in the east. Typically I did this in the early morning. On rare occasions I would do this at night and if the moon was half it was half in the 'dream,' not full or new or any other condition. I also am in more control over an astral projection over a regular dream. I can gain altitude if I want. I also would wake from those 'dreams' dog tired and usually would drag my *** around the rest of the day. I can't control when I do it and thankfully have not done it in a while.

When I was a kid, I would have the same dream the night before I would wake up sick the next morning.
I would dream I was in a tunnel, falling with all the heaviest things I could think of.
Every once in a while I have the dream still
