I looked up the State Fair and there is...are you ready for this...
A PUMPKIN HOUSE! OMG, I feel like a 5 year old! It makes me ridiculously happy to think about! There's also pari-mutual PIG RACING each day and a giant ferris wheel... And Big Tex... And probably anything you can imagine fried or on a stick (diets are OFF, huh?) |

Good Morning! Kristi, I can assure you that Glenda is one BBQ eatin' possum! I told her some time back to try the spicy pork at Good Company BBQ. I am sure she will give you her report. Oh, that was good eating at Good Company! Spicy pork and I also had a taste of their BBQ'd turkey, both yummy. Their Austin Baked Beans have chunks of apple in them and were delicious too! Had company over Labor Day and got to eat BBQ then too...she lives in another state but once graced Texas and understands what she's missing when she can't eat Texas BBQ! How could I not oblige? |

Heading out on a work trip tomorrow so behaved like a good Texan (despite being a transplant) and ate a chicken fried steak and had pie before I leave to lands where such fare either doesn't exist or is lacking TX flair. Have a great weekend everyone! |

Ohhh hell girl I was talking about fun things hehehe. Actually since everyone just moved out two weeks ago I have started cleaning the extra bedroom. I got really brave and started on the closets in there. I may be in there a while one closet is huge the other is small got the smaller one cleaned out working on the bigger one now. Then got side tracked and started cleaning the enclosed front porch... 
And did my yard work this last week but then that is a weekly thing. Sometimes I wish my yard was small like the new houses are so it would not take me so long to do it... 
Not as young as I use to be what I could get done in one day now takes me two...... 
As far as projects I have plenty of those things to do around here hell need me a handyman.....

So tell me ya'll whats your Texas State Fair like and care to tell me if you've ever been?? I am thinking of taking LaVerne to it??
Oddly enough,,I have never been to one yet here, or my home State....lol

I have been but it has been awhile since the last time I went... All I can say is make sure you take a pocket full of money for nothing is cheap for sure......
 We enjoyed it when we use to go lots of walking and food you have never had before lmao....
