I just fell in love. With a history show... I went from a country kid to the grayest city ever. And it took me a bit, but I fell in love with London's buildings. Honestly, 5:30 in the morning is the best time to see Bank Station from the outside. I don't think I'll sleep for that whole week I'm there nest year |

Honestly, 5:30 in the morning is the best time to see Bank Station from the outside. I don't think I'll sleep for that whole week I'm there nest year I walked there for hours and hours each day, for years ... It is SO alive w/ palpable history and mystery ... Ya can literally wander forever ...Millions and zillions of lil ancient, connected villages ... And? Big green parks sprinkled throughout ... ... I love all the bridges over the Thames ... All of Europe's finest are there too, "practicing their English" ... I thought I'd hate London, when it actually became my beloved, fav city!!! ... ... ... I miss it wicked bad! |

You sound exactly like me. I never wanted to see anywhere as much as England but I thought it was too BIG for me. I was pleasantly surprised with how I just blended in, while oddly standing out.
People kind of surprise you I guess. I lived in the docklands and it was like sidewalks with rivers and water and parks everywhere. I even had 2 frickin' pirate ships 2 blocks from my house. It was awresome |

It was awresome Ah, yeah, the Docklands are amazing!!! Do ya ever just hang in the ancient cemeteries w/ all those mad kewl Celtic crossses ... Well, that is all over the Celtic Isles ... Yeah, my aunt convinced me to go to London, against my will, when I was finishing up touring Europe ... Always respect your elders! ... Lo and behold, I stayed there 8 years ... |

I once spent an afternoon in this Gothic cemetery in North London. I can't remember the name but the stones were so big it was crazy. England is weird like that, you find the coolest stuff in the weirdest places.
I went to a teeny pub in the middle of a forest in Surrey once. It honestly looked like a Hobbit pub and was I excited...And a celebrity! They made me try vegemite chips I think you're right about the Celts though because Wales was the same. I got to go to a Cathedral the Henry VIII burned down there. I'm glad I went too. |

Yeah, there are so many kewl stone circles, also available for the finding ...
... When ya go on the wee road trips looking across the lands! Great picnic land! Ahhhh, just can't say enough to convey the good, stellar ... |
