These are my words of wisdom of what I do know
You love and protect them and watch them grow
Always reassure them that you are always there
Shower them with X's + O's they'll know U care
From what I know & learned I will never budge
I have taught them so much and to never judge
Teach them of compassion for their fellowman
As they become older they will sure understand
You're unconditional love they will always need
A wise man is careful of how he sews his seed
Sometimes they will need space of this be aware
Reassure them then that you will always be there
Patience is a valuable tool you will often need
I know this through experience please take heed
Give them a bedtime story and a kiss upon cheek
They will confide in you and shall always seek
Show them your strength so they will never fear
Assure them w/confidence that you're always near
Teach them that love is most powerful upon Earth
U administer this generously from the day of birth
Perhaps one day they'll frown asking what is hate?
Assure them they answer before God's heavenly gate
When discipline is applied be certain it is just
Always by a tempered heart upon this I will trust
There are moments of such joy some are with pain
So then cry with your children do not ever refrain
As they look into your soul a hero they will see
So do not ever waver you must be all you can be
Teach them that truth shall always reign above all
Through lies & deception you shall ultimately fall
I am no martyr but I am certain,I am a great Dad
By their happiness & contentment I'm eternally glad
With their smiles and their laughter I surely tell
Tremendous pride I now posses it is clear as a bell
As I stand before God then this day I will shout
You so loved and blessed me,I never did doubt.Amen!
