My great,great,great,Grandfather,,seen the whole thing happen,,
<----he was taking a pee behind the tree and he watched the whole story unfold and heard every detail as to the truth of this very wronged couple,,,,
As they were walking toward the hill Jack said, why do we have to
take the water from the sacred well on the hill?
can we not just use the well over there.
Jill replied, the water must be from the sacred well, as it has the powers to heal Mother Hen...no other waters will do that..
As they started up the hill Jill said,,you go ahead Jack, I'll catch-up with you,,I seen something shinning over there in the woods,,I must see what it was..
So Jack starting up his step walk,,and about half way up,,Jill,came running to the foot of the hill,,yelling,,,'HEY JACK' LOOK WHAT I FOUND? Jack had to yell back,,WHAT IS IT? Jill replied,,ITS A CROWN
Jack yelled again,not hearing Jill. WHAT IS IT?,,so Jill then said HERe,,,TAKE A LOOK AT IT, and she whaled back and gave it a big toss up to where he stood, with his pail in one hane,,as he reached out to catch it,,he slept and fell,,,the crown in his hand,,he tumbled and rolled and fell into hundreds of small pieces..scattered
the crown laying broken, and Jack now all over the ground..
Jill now fallingto her knees in tears,,telling Jack she was so sorry.. She told him it was his Birthday present from her that she wanted to surprise him with a shinning new crown for this day...
Jill being the smart lady of them times being,,quickly made up her story and she rolled dirt all over her as if she to,,had fallen with Jack,,and she made everyone believe that THAT was the truth.
And my Grandpa said,,HE recieved money from her until he passed away,,as he had confronted her with her truth the next day in private counsel with her....
Moral of this story.....
Beware a women who tells YOU to start without her,
and she has a great arm on her.
because she will leave you in tiny pieces and tell everyone it was YOUR fault..
Oh,,,and IT PAYS to have a smart GRANDPA............

They went up the hill because jack wanted jill to jack him off so to speak. She did. When he did not jill her off, well, jack fell down the hill. That's my theory.
