SACRAMENTO, Calif. — California Attorney General Jerry Brown determined Thursday that ACORN broke no criminal laws, after reviewing videotapes that sparked a recent political firestorm.

Brown's office said it would not pursue charges against the now-defunct community organizing group. But it said ACORN engaged in inappropriate behavior that may prompt other state agencies to take a look, such as dumping 500 pages of confidential records into the trash and failing to file a state tax return......

Rather than give advice on prostituting underage girls, human trafficking and cheating on taxes, the attorney general's office found ACORN members at times caught on to the scheme and called the police in the portions of the videos that were cut.

"Sometimes a fuller truth is found on the cutting room floor," Brown said.

working to repeal dont ask dont tell in the military
expanding hate crime laws
sending more troops to Afghanistan


and three he promised to do which he didnt

end no bid contracts over 25,000
allow five days for public comment on HR reform
creating a public option


so there you have it, I support him but I think he is neither perfect or a Messiah,,,,, I believe in a majority(not all) of his ideals and his intelligence and work ethic to try to accomplish them and I believe , in spite of some of the imperfections, he is overall doing a wonderful job

possibly, but I have lived through tax increases and paycheck decreases before and stil considered myself to live in a pretty 'privileged' culture. Things always go in economic cycles, ya know?

As to the general practitioner,,time will tell, although if push comes to shove I am blessed to have several doctors in the family,,,but it would be an upsetting trend(waiting months) if it were to start occurring. I know my ex lives in the UK where it is actually NATIONAL HEALTHCARE, and he doesnt wait months for anything(although they are a much smaller place) and if he did, he would probably feel it was worth it not to ever have to worry about losing his home to pay for some medical emergency.
