Marx Brothers!
Abott & Costello, 3 Stooges, Buster Keaton!. B&W seems to be funnier, humor was slapstick and small gags but so much funnier than todays stuff. |

Marx Brothers! Abott & Costello, 3 Stooges, Buster Keaton!. B&W seems to be funnier, humor was slapstick and small gags but so much funnier than todays stuff. I think that the subtlety was much more refined in those days. It wasn't the " in your face-as disgusting as possible " crap we have going on today. There are some good comedians, but nothing really beats Red Skelton, Abbott & Costello, 3 Stooges and the like. I mean...who, in this day and age, would have been able to come up with a classic like " Who's On First " without breaking it down into cursing to show their frustration. Costello did it all with voice tone and facial expressions. |
