If you can remember Superman (Chris Reeves)and hi wife (Dana)in real life. He was thrown from a horse and ended up paralyzed and in a wheelchair. His wife stuck by him, true love? We would see them on occasion, as he fought to be able to walk again. Well both have passed on to a better place and life?"
I am in a wheelchair, since 2005, MS has put me here. My lower leg muscles will not allow me to walk, lift my feet. Such is life. There are others worse off than meself.
Question... would you date or have a friendship with a person in a wheelchair?

Most Definitely!!! ... Absolutely!

I'd prolly find that person had such TRUE grit, as to also be a wonderful inspiration!

Out of pain? ... Strength and Wisdom!

We've all our own inherent 'handicap' ... It is the PERSONALITY that defines us!

... It is positivity, humour, integrity, soul, heart, compassion, empathy, warmth, kindness and a real lust for life that are the proving grounds to ME ...

Whatever the prob, it is the coping well that is the measure ...

I just can't/won't do negative, unaccountable, cruel, mean, selfish, abusive, predatorial and/or stuck in pity~party arse~holiness ...

That wheelchair is the furtherest thing from WHO you REALLY are ...

Your PURE essence is ALL that matters ... flowerforyou

Edit ... dang bad typin' ...

Regardless if one stands or sits that does not determine a friendship in my book. Friends are friends you take them as they are.

Now as far as a relationship myself I have never been in that situation but..........sure if I was in-love with the person we could overcome anything that was put in our path....... whoa

Really guess it would all depend on the person in the wheelchair and their attitude towards life.

My dad was in a wheelchair for several years before he passed away and not one time did he make one notice he was in one. Funny how such things don't even cross your mind when your around another....

Most certainly. I mean, it would be freakishly shallow to not want to befriend somebody just because they use a wheelchair.
