Since I worry a bit that the audience may draw the wrong conclusion - this 'Eve' was very unlike the biblical Eve. She wasn't the first human, she also wasn't the only woman alive at the time...she's not (as I thought, at first) the most recent ancestor that all humans share.

As I understand it, she's the most recent human female to whom all modern humans can not only claim as an ancestor - she's an ancestor that can be traced back through women only.

didja know that the genetic difference between any 2 humans on Earth is less than 1/10 of 1%? That's ANY 2 humans. There is no such thing as racism. Racism is a cover word for stupidity and ignorance.

didja know that the molecular structure that reads the DNA code in the cell of a tree can also read your DNA code. It's like all life on Earth is decended from a single source. All life on Earth uses the same codebook. neat, huh.

if you read a real bible and not the kjv, it states clearly the following....adam and eve were the first of human creation...not the only ones. eden is on the plane we call heaven, not on earth. both were in godlike form until they were banished it was then God created mankind. if you notice the kjv states that kain would bare the mark for other nations to see.

It makes sense, though. The % difference between some different species is in the single digits. An itty bitty difference in genome leads to a huge difference in morphology.



Well, there were some old ideas of 'race' that waaaaay overstated the differences between the so-called 'races'. Obviously, we are one species, and we are quite literally one huge family. But even within one huge multi-generational massively extended family, there are sets of people who are more closely related to each other than they are other sets of people.

However, for Pagans, the apple and the serpent were symbols of the Goddess, and with the serpent giving the apple to Eve, Eve was made aware of other Gods and Goddess, and no longer blindly led by only one.

Old Testament says, (don't remember exactly where -- use a concordance) "We will never know exactly how it all began nor how it will come to an end." (Paraphrased -- look for a more exact translation). Remember this whenever you go fishing for such answers. He who created the universe then hid himself from our eyes can hide whatever he pleases and there is nothing we can do about it.

He will come like a theif in the night......... or translated he will come unexpectedly.

And actually, epigenetics have more to do with how people are different from each other. Epigenetic molecules interpret DNA and determine which parts of the code to express or suppress. It's why a skin cell is a skin cell and a muscle cell is a muscle cell even though both have the same DNA code. And epigenetic molecules are changable. It's really quite fascinating.

if you look at it logically ....the fruit was probably a fig since the fig leaves were the first thing they grabbed to cover themselves

It's a myth. There was no Adam, no Eve, and the fruit wasn't an apple.
